Oooop, I wrote the wrong dates. This was not a Selberg delivery. Work started August 2011 and was completed October 2011. THREE months to complete. How's that for delivery and a custom figure.

The question is, is the order date right - was it the convention of 2010 or 2011 when you placed the order?
Three months for him to start it, have it done and delivered is great.
But if it was the 2010 convention when you placed the order, then it means you've been waiting a year and four months for it. Me, that would make me crazy, probably not so bad for you as you've been buying other figures in that time to keep you occupied. Smile

Brandt has a wait of almost 2 years. You give him a deposit of $100.00 for placement on his list then when he gets to you you pay half the price of the figure and then the balance upon completion. The wait time for Brandt's work is usually about 3 months it is just getting to you that takes the time.

I think I'm glad I will never be ordering another figure made for me. I understand that's the way it is, always has been that way, and I TOTALLY understand why it is - but it still wouldn't keep it from making me crazy waiting so long.

To clear up my error, I placed the order in July 2010 at the conVENTion. As Dan, says, Brant's waiting period is about 2 years. The waiting time he gives you is PRETTY accurate. He was scheduled to start on my figure, Spring of 2012. He was able to start on the figure early because of cancellations. Still, I had to wait 15 months. Well, worth the wait.

Was the wait hard, YES. But if you want a figure by a specific builder then that is something that has to be endured. The problem and frustration comes in, when the builder gives you a timeframe and doesn't live up to it. Can things happen, yes!! But, how do you explain a delay of 6 months and more. A builder is well aware of how long it takes them personally, to build/make each figure and should not take on more than they can realistically do in that timeframe. I personally, know one other person that Brant built a figure for, and was RIGHT on schedule for when he said he would start.

I give Brant, two thumbs up, for living up to his word.

Want a great figure, give me a call.

That is what I have always heard about him (in addition to his figures being excellent).

I thought Selberg pretty much held the record for that (I don't know that for a fact, it's just the impression I've gotten over the years).
