Are we talking about the same thing, or has this thread digressed into a p!55ing match?
Try this... if you believe in something strong enough, and you know you're right, then you will have to fight for it, because there are always people on this planet who will try to take it away from you. That is the truth, and always has been.
The trick is knowing exactly how to fight for it. If it's you against twenty in a street brawl with bats, knives, and riot gear, then I suggest you haul ass out of there because if you don't, you'll always be remembered as that guy who was "dead right."
If it's you against the police or society in some way, then it's best, and consistently more successful, to follow the combat strategy of non-violence. In most societies, you'll gain no respect for your position if you resort to violence to get your point across. Study the thinking of Ghandi, Dr. King, and the others. Plenty of material is available, just ripe to be picked, on this subject.
Whichever path you take in your struggle, you must always be be prepared to face the consequences of your actions. This is personal responsibility. If you cannot accept ALL the consequences, then perhaps you're not fully convicted to your principles, or perhaps you haven't devised the correct combat strategy.
Some things are worth fighting for, while most things aren't. Choose wisely.
