I've been practicing magic for almost 2 years now, but until tonight I had never shown anything to anyone other than close friends or family members. I want to be a professional magician, so I knew that I would eventually have to step out of my comfort zone and start performing. Tonight for Halloween, I decided to set up a little table outside and I performed a few quick tricks for the little Trick or Treaters and ended with igniting some flash paper in a dove pan to create a candy dish! It was absolutely wonderful and way better than I had expected. I got told by several people that it was the best house they stopped at!
Now that I've had this feeling of creating that magical feeling in others (and for the most part, less critical people as close friends and family) I can't stop. I plan to be much more open with my magic and perform way more often. |

Excellent work! I'm elated for you. All of us were there once and sometimes we forget, when those doors opened in our lives. We can tend to get jaded and take those early moments of astonishment for granted! Enjoy your discovery and journey in magic mate!

Welcome dwilla,
Sounds like a good time was had by all. May this be the first of a lifetime of happy Performing experiences. Don't wait too long to try it again. A Magic Club makes a friendly audience. If there is no Club nearby one or two Magic Friends is sometimes even better. Mary Mowder |
