I've got the first two Illusion Systems books, plus The Big Black limited edition book Paul put out.



Does anyone know if Paul Osborne is still selling stuff? Is Illusion Systems even still in business?

Steve, I have not seen anything or heard anything of Paul in a while. I too am not sure what is happening with him.



I sure do suggest Rand Woodbury and of course shouldn't have to mention reading anything by Jim Steinmeyer.

If you hear anything about Paul, please be sure and let me know.



I just love his thinking when it comes to illusion designs.

In the Linking Ring magazine there are ads saying that "He's Back in the Drawing Room"
not for remembering the old memories of course.

I have Osborne Illusion Systems I, II, III, and IV. And his Haunted Book. All are great and I am going to build the Hade-E-Levitation. Magic Table Converts in to a levitation table and the table falls leaving the person floating, then the table rises back in place and the boy is lowered on to the table. Based on the Super-X Illusion.

He does have a new book out called Illusion Plans. It is a simple, easy to build illusion, but I haven't seen it yet.

Paul Osborne is alive and well and still living in Dallas TX. his main business is still amusement parks shows. He's been putting together fewer magic shows and more animal shows for some reason. His big black book is out of print, but you can occasionlly find one on EBAY or at a magic garage sale. Unfortunately, his books and plans are so good that they normally are not given up for sale.
He hasn't had new illusion plans out in quite some time, but rumours are that he's finally working on more. He has the same stuff out (more or less) since I worked for him in 1987. It's about time that new stuff is released.

Well, here is an update on Paul.
I saw an ad of his in the May 2002 issue of Genii, advertising his new book Easy Build Illusions. As of this writing it sells for $27.50 postpaid.
