I want to buy 10" 8 set of Metal Chrome linking rings. And I want to buy snowstorm. I don't know how exactly snowstorm works, but I need it for my manipulation act end, so I wont show the tissue paper and put it in water.
here is the link to rings http://www.ebay.com/itm/Linking-Rings-10......0wt_1139 and the link to snowstorm http://www.ebay.com/itm/SnowStorm-White-......8wt_1139 |

I never seen that linking ring set on the internet, cannot comment on thw quality.
I believe this is the snow packets only, it does not come with an oriental fan or instructions on how to perform the trick. Email the seller to make sure it comes with instructions. |

Instead of fan I will use card fan I think its possible. What about rings from steel?

I don't think your card fan will work unless you are using a glued together jumbo cards fan. You have to generate a lot of air to get the confette up into the air. As I said there is no instructions with this box, so do you know the correct handling?
As I said, I never seen those rings advertised anywhere. I would imagine, for that price they are imports made of thin wire metal. |

If I cant do the snowstorm without a fan(non card) how should I end a manipulation routine with it? Is it possible to make that fan appear?

Yes it is possible to make the fan appear. I wish I could advise you on manipulation productions, but there is nothing written on this subject in magic. The closest thing is the Parasols Anywhere DVD, will give you some ideas how to produce items magically.
Another way is with very strong misdirection. While all attention is on the larger, bigger movement, obtaining the fan from it's hiding place would be possible as well. So much of this type of manipulation magic is dependent on such things as your costume and table and what goes before the 'steal' as we call it in magic. The snow storm effect is actually placing a piece of tissue paper in a glass or bowl of water, the effect is actually, wet paper changing to a dry storm of confetti. Ending a card routine with just a storm of confetti does not make any sense actually. What relationship would a flurry of confetti have with playing cards? I believe there should be some logic to the magic. |

Those rings may be fine but it's hard to tell without looking at them. The BEST inexpensive linking rings available are from Hank Lee for $57.50. If you have the extra money to spend, go with these. I used a set for many years and then sold them here on the Café.

Maybe I can produce the snow from silk, like Copperfield? Oh and can someone give me the preview of that DVD?

Copperfield's snowstorm cost thousands of dollars, maybe not the part with the scarf, but the snow from bare hands. None of this is available on the market.
I believe a magician in Europe invented it. Don't you know how to use the search engine on YouTube or Google? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uipdGJv1ODU |
