one of those squeekers that magicians use? It's a great comedy prop that can be used for all kinds of tricks. Thanks for your help.

All prank shops sell them. Magic shops should sell them. It's called the power of squeaking. I "think" it's a Doc Wayne item.

Go to the pet section of your local Wal-Mart or similar store. Squeeze each one of the toys until you find one that squeeks. I found a good one and pulled it apart that only cost 2.97.

Xander, that's exactly what I did, except they had some dog toys on sale for .97. It works fine.

I actually use the line, "I had to roll a Barbie Doll to get this" when I use a squeeker...

Best reaction I ever got with a squeeker was in a NY restaurant.

I ordered fish and the whole fish (I think a Trout) was on my plate... I had the squeeker and squeezed on the side of the trout with a fork...

The two gals at the next table actually FREAKED OUT.... when I did it.

Pete,

I love the fish gag.

It reminds me of my "shrimp" gag. I used to go to restaurants and use a horizontal arrangement with one end in the "Wonderbar" type position and make a baby shrimp jump up and down on my hand. One time I did this and then called the waitress over and explained that my food wasn't cooked enough. Her eyes almost popped out of her head, and she immediately left and then returned with the manager so that I could show him. I just played dumb and said that I didn't know what she was talking about, and the rest of the table played along. It was a lot of fun.

Re. use of squeakers in traditional magic effects, Williamson's use of it in his sponge ball routine is great.

Try Doc Eason's "Art of Public Squeeking". It comes with the squeker as well.

Thanks a great idea Pete.
