Any opinions on the quality of the instruction and the DVD production?

It's similar in scope to all his other teaching DVDs. It's a good classic routine, well shot and explained very well. If you like his other stuff you'll like this too. If you didn't like his other DVDs I'd leave well alone!

Absolutely superb. Buy all of his stuff. The guy is a brilliant teacher with impeccable taste.

Bob has a wonderful routine the really works for him. There is no doubt that the kids are having a great time. That being said I was underwhelmed by the routine and the material on the DVD. With the DVD you are getting his routine in reasonably good detail but there are no alternative moves or ideas presented. There are many, many egg bag routines out there. For $50 I was expecting a lot more material that I could adapt to my style. Watch his video demo, if you like the routine as it is performed and you think it fits you're style I think you'll be happy with it.

I think Jeff Hobson's free videos on the egg bag are excellent and I learned much more. Hobson's videos are oriented to his routine and his marketed egg bag. Ron Bauer's booklet (under $10) on the egg bag was a good resource as well although the script was a little off-color for my tastes.

Hopefully, someone, someday will come out with a DVD with a broad range of moves, bag styles, and routining ideas.

I loved the DVD. It gave me a great starting point for re-writing my EB routine. I used some of BW's bits, (all proven winners), & I kept some of my stronger bits in. If you do the egg bag, IMO, it's worth getting. After working with it, if you decide that you don't want it, put it up for sale. I think that it would get snapped up pretty fast.
