Is there a product that I can treat the balloons with that will allow them to last longer in a sculpture? I've had a client call me and ask for very large sculpture for their retail store and they want it to last until Christmas. They want it on display from this Wednesday until Christmas (or darn near close to it). Their store has a jungle theme so I thought it would be fun to make the Buster Gorilla and add some holiday touches to it (santa hat, scarf, Candy Cane in place of cigar, etc.), but I don't want it to turn to crap before Christmas hits.
I know about high float but don't really think that is relevant in this case...or is it? I know that if it gets sad looking, that I could just go out there and make another one to replace it, but if I can avoid doing that, it would be best as they'll only pay for it once. Any help is appreciated! Christopher

http://www.amazon.com/Balloon-Shine-Keep......01AVN7YE THe FAQ will give you several options. In your pricing you may want to put a little room for "repairs" Shining and sealing a balloon is fine, however it is still just a balloon. Touching, heat, moisture, movement are all factors for destruction.

Nitrogen in balloon will make them last longer..
Ultra Float is nice but expensive and messy. I know people who by Armor All (or cheap knock off brand at Wal-Mart) to make them shine when they get oxodized. |

I did an experiment with hi-float a basic dog lasted 4 months before loosing any size of course it was in doors and after a while I threw it out it lasted longer then I expected it to
look this way hi-float was invented to make helium balloons last longer and helium is a much smaller molecule then air so if it can keep a helium balloon float what is it 10 times longer imagine how long it can hold regular air??? but it can get messy and filling the balloons is a pain I use a flavor injector I think it is called for putting spices inside of meat?? |
