Got the PDF, Finally! Seriously I had to wait over 2 minutes from sending out my PayPal order to receiving the PDF.
Anyway after the nervous, torturous wait, I eagerly opened the PDF, and it is a great effect, a simple amalgam of ideas, and a very nice effect. I think the power in this is the fact that the spectator appears to do all the work. (As others have mentioned, well produced, with respectful crediting). Now lets talk price eight whole dollars!! (Well 7.99 actually). Seriously well worth it, I am no card person, but this is simple effective and a great investment at $7.99. Thank you Mike for a great effect. Tony |

Thank you Tony, I'm glad you like the effect and sorry you had to wait that long I'm doing my best with sending the ebooks as fast as possible.

Roland Choo, David Berglas' methods allow the deck to be shuffled by the spectator. Really not difficult at all. I highly recommend Richard Kaufman's very detailed book on Berglas' methods.
It's all in the reflexes.

I haven't read the book but I can imagine how well written and detailed it is on that subject (and not only that). Oh well, maybe some day...

I got the PDF, and have been trying to read through it, but honestly, I haven't made it through the first page.
The description is really hard to make heads and tails from... I am not going to give away any of the workings, and I think there is good thinking going on here. But I don't think the proof-readers caught some of the mistakes. There are times where the description of the orientation of the deck seems different than what it needs to be in reality. Just one for starters, to give you sense of what is taken for granted and what isn't... the PDF never tells you if the deck is face up or face down when you spread it for the spectator. It might be assumed, and those who have been proof reading it, might already know. But since there are some moves in this effect that rely on this knowledge, that is important. Last paragraph, second to last sentence... it seems to be telling me something that isn't accurate as well, or at least not as clearly as the originator of the move describes it (there seem to be parts missing from the description vs the description from the original source). The effect looks to be great. And I can't wait to work through it. But honestly, I think it needs at little more proofreading. Just my two cents, and will pull out the source that the move is from (and used with permission). Homework, and credits, and permission are all here in this PDF. It has wonderful possibilities. I just can't figure it out as it stand right now. RevJohn |

Thank you RevJohn for the review and I'm very sorry if the effect explanation is not clear enough. I will correct the text with my proofreader as soon (and as good) as possible and send the corrected version of the ebook to all buyers. Apart from that I'm glad you see the potential in it.

However, after going back and reading it a couple of times, I finally understood what the moves were. I think it's kind of a hard method to describe in print. A video demonstration would have been helpful on this routine. It really is great, and a very practical and strong CAAN. Describing a method in print is almost an art form in itself. I am terrible at it myself, which is why I am going to be doing a video tutorial for my first release this next week. I actually tried to describe my routine to Rus Andrews over Skype a few days ago and had to stop myself because I felt like I was talking in circles. My brain just doesn't work that way I guess,... it's easier for me to just show someone. If you are still having trouble, you might PM Mike and see if he can do a video demonstration for you, or if he doesn't mind.. I would be happy to do a quick video demonstration and send it your way. For the record, he does describe it accurately. It's just one of those things that is hard to explain and must be read carefully. |

Maybe because I know the mechanics of the effect the explanation seemed pretty obvious to me. Unfortunately, not for everyone.
I hate situations like that and I will fix it asap. Once again sorry about that. Mike |

It's obvious you put a lot of work into this, and you definitely covered all your bases. I just think that there are certain moves that are tricky to explain in print. I just want people to know that the confusion is not from a lack of effort on Mike's part. He did a great job putting it together. His ebook is a great value and if your in the market for an impromptu CAAN effect, then it doesn't really get much better than this. |

Really what I have found in comparing the main move is two basic descriptions missing, or rather, a couple of words describing the move. Amazing how a couple words omitted, or as someone said, even a comma, can change the meaning of something. Such as, "Let's eat, Grandma!" or "Let's eat Grandma!" (Commas can save grandma's life!!!) I am learning the main move from the source first, and then will go back and read through the manuscript, and will have more luck. Thank you though for your kind response! John |

Hmm... is proofreading still required? If so, happy to lend a hand--I've got a degree in English.. PM me if I can help.

This really is a well written Manuscript, and the proofreading was well done.
Just one of those cases as mentioned above that when someone knows how to do a sleight, it is easy to over look the smallest detail. And for those of us that don't know it, it makes it difficult to figure out. I sat down last night with the effect and with another resource and got it fairly easily. This is a great effect. As for Credits, I think Daniel Garcia should be listed. I know you can't list every ACAAN, or CAAN, or CAAAAAAAN effect out there, but I think his needs to be included. I am glad you put this out. Easy to do (technically) and a great use of a wonderful sleight (which I didn't know but learned from the source pretty quickly). on This is worth your money, and I believe to be an effect you will use. Thank you, John.
I think I remember seeing Daniel Garcia's effect and I thought that it's basically a very, very slight variation of Barrie Richardson's classic Impromptu Card at Any Number so I thought I will credit the original. If I'm wrong, I will happily update the credits section in the ebook. Mike |

You are correct. If I remember right, I think he credits Richardson's, and I think the variation is small.

Tomorrow I'm planning to send the corrected, updated version of the ebook with, I hope, much better effect description and additional illustrations to everyone who purchased it (plus a little bonus). If you don't get it, I'm probably working on the text some more.

Honestly speaking - Yes I got a review copy.
Still honestly speaking - This is going in my repertoire, and is my favourite CAAN. Again honestly speaking - I did not have any trouble understanding it. I had heard of the sleight before, but not in this context, so I just used the text explanation. I think the text is really simple, but just IMO. Best, Kyle |
