Hi Boinko! You sound like a Euro kind of guy! Most of my orders for Blue decks are from Europe and the UK. USA orders tend to be for red back decks... Oddly ALL orders for custom decks have been from Canada and Asia.
Go figure! Anyway, your order will go out tomorrow. Enjoy. Tony

I figure I'd be different. I realize red is the preferred color, but what the heck. It's a new phase in my magic career. Blue.
I look forward to it. |

Looking forward to vanishing a card from a Real Steal deck and making it appear in a Badger wallet....

After requests, I have added Bike Dragon Decks to the mix. Both red and blue. But these are rather limited, so let me know.

Does anyone else who has the extractor deck and has used this deck have any review or difference points on this?

Argh, why I clicked this topic? It sounds great and fanning a deck while having them push in their card couldn't give them any more fair movement.
I'm waiting for reviews, pleaseeeee... Oh, I have to second Mr. Miller's wallets. Simple design but always does the work well.

Oh yes, Shanlip... Yours will go out today... Or yesterday as you are in Austrailia... Or however that works.

To me "The Real Steal" is a much more organic method than the Alakazam Extractor. I would not say it is necessarily superior because I have always marveled at the ingenuity and craftsmanship of the original Extractor - which I still love. That being said, Tony's take on erxtracting a selection has it's own pluses - being ab le to fairly FAN the cards (magician) and the slow insertion which is visual nd very fair. The originl method Tony came up with is direct and simple, and a great solution to learning a card's identity and stealing it cleanly in a similar fashion as extractor (p***). Overall a great idea as a utility device - and the real steal is also a real deal. BRETT

So a few things about this deck being compared to the extractor gimmick. The ad copy of the real steal says “The deck can be fanned and spread like a regular deck” but in the extractor you can fan the deck and spread the end and even let the spectator do it. So that is not really a difference. The second one says “no deck switch is required” but even though you have to switch the deck in the extractor, there is absolutely no heat on the deck at all. The spectator is busy signing their card and could care less about the deck at this point.
Also in the demo of the real steal it just looks not as fair as the extractor. The magician is in control of the deck the entire time and the spectator is only allow to select a card as to the extractor where they can think of whatever card they want then go though the deck themselves and find it. Then the magician has the spectator place the card back in the fanned deck, which does not really seem to add anything to the original extractor. To me the real steal seem to be a nice prop for a ambitious card ending but not a replacement or improvement to the extractor.

Both are going [or should] look fair to a spectator. I would'nt hand out an extractor to a helper.

I wouldnt hand out the extractor to a helper either. But the deck can be handed out to them to allow them to find a card, then once they put the card back, switched out easily and without heat for the gimmick.

Good points Chad -
I have both and I think that with both Real Steal and Extractor the chosen card seems to be fairly eliminated - one in the card box (Extractor) and the other in the deck itself. From the spec point of view, in both cases the card is tucked into bed safely. I would say the cards can be fan spread with The Real Steal (TRS), but certainly not a ribbon spread. The Real Steal uses an organic way of getting that card that is just as sneaky as Extractor, and doesn't have the (potential) added complications of a engineered object that could break someday. I happen to love my Extractor(s) but I also feel that the Real Steal offers a very similar utility possibility at a tempting price and could also be used in perhaps different situations where a DS isn't viable or desirable.
