To be sure, that's 800,000% APR. In more real terms, that's £22 per five consecutive days. Nobody has an outstanding overdraft for a year. That's not called an overdraft... that's called theft.
By the way, I love how the article refers to overdrafts as "unauthorized borrowing." Is this really the genuine perspective of people these days, that they feel they have a right to spend money that isn't theirs, that nobody told them they could spend, and then to bit¢h about the consequences? Let's take it a step further, hmmm? How about the ridiculously high consequences of "unauthorized borrowing" when all you do is find someone, hold a gun to their head, and ask to borrow the contents of their wallet? Then, not only do you have to pay the money back, but you have to spend time in jail! When you compute the opportunity cost, it's gotta be a gazillion percent APR! Oh no! Fight the power! We are the 99%! C'mon... |

Agreed, Lobo, but back when I was defending criminal cases I would have loved to have had him on just about every jury. (Unless I was defending a white collar criminal.)

Back when I was defending criminal cases I had a fool for a client.
One of the things I learnt however was one should attack the evidence and not the witness. Otherwise it gets personal, which does not help one win, which is 800,000% more than I can say for Lobbo.

It must be great to be a bankster, as one could go to Ben and get a Zero % loan, so long as it was not for anything useful, like a factory that made real goods and so on, but was for credit cards and 800,000% overdrafts etcetera.
