This is good. As an impromptu item that doesn't scream "fake" I think this is a worthwhile idea. And you thought he was just an underwear model...

That last line is made under rhe assumption that Pete Legend and Pete McCabe are the same person. f not, that was just dumb. But the product is good.

How long does it take to get this? I put in an order a couple of days ago.

I placed my order yesterday morning. The ad mentions the following:
"I try to fulfill all orders within 24 hours, but because I have to customize each one, please allow 48 hours before following up. " I have not yet received my copy, but will follow up with Pete tomorrow morning. |

Sorry for the delay and thanks for your understanding.
I went to the Grand Canyon for three days. It's beautiful but it turns out there is no wifi—none that I could find, anyway. By the time I got on here at the hotel in Laughlin, I found that several orders had come in the day I left. I apologize to everyone -- as it says on the website I really like to get every order out within 24 hours and I dropped the ball this time. The good news is that everyone should have received their orders by now. If you ordered and haven't received it please let me now and I will make it right. By the way thanks John for the recommendation. I am not an underwear model. Are you the John Wells who was president of the Writer's Guild? If so congratulations on your star. Pete McCabe |

No worries, Pete; I appreciate the quick follow up. Having had a quick look at this, Web Test appears to be an excellent effect with a great premise/story and excellent methodology. This one will be getting quite a bit of mileage.
Highly recommended and, for the price, it is quite the bargain. |

Right, I don't have this, so I am simply asking.
But why would you print out pages from a website? Pete, why don't you just set up four or five fake web pages, have them all open on your I phone, let someone pick one and then think of any word. Later you can say "you went online, you picked the web page...and thought of a random topic" I would make it a topic and not word as it feels more 'randomly googled'. As I said, I don't have this, purely offering suggestions based on speculation. Much love team!! Col

Maybe cos if its on your phone, some would assume some kind of transmission in taking place?
I've asked to be banned

But they think of any word on any page and don't write it down.
It's so fair ... What would be getting transmitted?!? If its an I phone, everyone knows what safari does. Col

What if it's an android phone?

I would think printing out the pages helps with readability (especially with an older audience). And even though it may seem fair to have a user go to a website, I have a feeling that some may suspect an app at play. Now, I understand that an app wouldn't explain the effect, but I wouldn't want to have that be a possible explanation.

I have been breaking this in over the long weekend
REALLY like it. Story and method plays well in the real world. Heading towards being my opener - as it introduces who I am and what I do. |

Glad to hear it's working for people in the real world.
Web Test comes as a pdf, so you could certainly copy it onto an iPad and/or iPhone, and/or (I assume) an Android device. Personally I like having the printout because if I came across a web page with my family name on it, I would print it out so I could show people. But that's just me—if a phone/tablet seems more natural to you, you have that option. |

Are you the same Pete McCabe of Scripting Magic? If so that was a wonderful book. Thank you for writing it

I fully agree here. Even though an app wouldn't explain this effect, it's not ideal to have that as a possible explanation. With the printout, this is such a beautiful effect.
