Yeah the one from David Malek is between $45 to $50, comes in Bee and Bicycle decks.

I've got Factory Sealed Bicycled Marked Deck and for me it is the most hidden one. Even I need to read the instructions to find the markings. For the first timers, you might need to get familiar with the reading.

I'm very curious about the one from David Malek tho.

I mark my own decks as I go through cards quite quickly during my restaurant gigs. The marking system I use is a combination of ideas out there. After years of research and Trial and error I have found the perfect marking stylus for this. I can mark an entire deck in about 7 minutes and for only pennies a deck. You can mark them anywhere you like on your decks. I use bicycle backs. No one has ever called me on the markings. And if you want to give a card away you can scratch the marking of with your thumbnail. I have sold these at my (although limited) lectures at conventions and at my dealer booth as well. I agree with Patrick. The Boris Wild deck has everything going for it, and it comes with a few really good routines. I asked Boris which color back the marks were more readable on. He said "blue", and he was right ... I'm very happy with my blue deck.

The best marked deck on the market is the Fournier 505 which retails for £10 in the UK, the quality of the card is superb and once you know where to look, it jumps out at you but I have had to show many magicians where to look before they could discover the secret.

Just to clarify....when you say "best" that term is not clear....

The "BEST" marked card system will vary depending upon you, your working environment, how deceptive you want the marks, how much practice you are willing to devote, how much money you are willing to spend, etc.

For example, most of the marking systems described in this thread refer to variations of block-out or cut-out work. Both are very easy to detect using the gambler riffle test. But, these systems are cheap and easy to learn for most magicians.

More advanced system also cost more, such as Juice or Luminous marked cards....But, these systems may be overkill for many magicians except if they are true professionals.

BOTTOM LINE, "Best" is relative.

I do come along with the marking Ted Lesley did, certainly a bit obvious compared the a Boris Wild deck, but in certain circumstances very good to handle as very easy to see even from a distance - if you know where to look. For close-up I have made very positive experience with the deck from card shark in Germany (also available in all other countries)

an old chestnut, and, as everyone has expressed in this thread ... it is an open question.
However, for me it has to be the S.U.M. deck by Roy Johnson.

Simply because this deck is marked AND setup.
This deck can be examined by the spectator with no fear of discovery.

The only problem being - you need good eyesight.
Alas, for me, it is time to hang up my "shooting irons" ... I mean my S.U.M. deck.

My vote is also for David Blaine's Mind Reading Deck. You can't go wrong with respect to the quality of the deck compared to its price.

I like the Ultimate Marked Deck

I think "best" or "fastest" in a marked deck depends a lot on context. There is definitely some tradeoff in clarity of the mark versus invisibility of the mark. But the aspect people often ignore is what the mark will be used for:

If you want to read a specific card that a spectator takes out, then you want all the marks in the same place so you know exactly where to look (for instance, the ultimate marked deck). If you want to scan through the cards and locate a card the spectator named, it's more useful to have the marks in different places (for instance, the Boris Wild deck) so you can just look at the spot where the mark should be on the named card and you are essentially looking through 13 cards instead of all 52.

I remember that the Fournier 505 marked deck is marked somewhere in the middle. Am I right?!
I am using the cull quite often. So for me the "best" deck is a deck marked at the outer edges/corners.

And another one for the UMD I changed away from my Boris Wild deck (which I had used for years) as sonn as I seen this deck. It really is excellent.

You can't beat Bikes.

Keep in mind folks that Magic Dream in Paris who created this marvelous deck said that these will never be re-printed again. Done.

Whatever product is out there is it until depleted. I own 3-4 of these and 'nuff said.

I'm a big fan of marking up you own up. I use Pete McCabes system, but many others are there. The cards cost nothing extra, and are thus not handled in a "protected "way. Do a signed card or card fold, etc. no one would suspect you'd handle and destroy an expensive marked deck like that.

I agree. There are so many ways of creating your own marked cards that I really don´t see the need to purchase one. You can do way better on your own.

I too am a big fan of the Boris Wild system but often use Larry Beckers Demon deck set up with an Osterlind stack. Many good ones out there and it just depends on what you feel comfortable with.

I started making my own with an exacto knife. There's a bit of a learning curve, and I messed up the first deck I did, but after that, I ended up with a deck of very nice, discreetly marked cards. No one has seen them yet, even someone who thought the cards were marked and looked for them.
