Matthew, that's correct, there was a recent UMD printing - they are the same as before. They are available through Murphy's, so any reputable dealer should be able to supply them for you.

It's a very good question - I'm not sure. Somehow they managed to slip another run through, but from what I've heard it's definitely the very last time. So stock up now, I don't think we'll see factory-printed Rider Backs again. To my knowledge, the policy on altering trademarks has not changed again.

Also, can someone tell me if the markings on the UMD are in the same place on each card, vs being in different locations such as on a Boris Wild. I'm looking for a marked deck that has the markings in the exact same spot on each card. I recently discovered Andy Nyman's The Code and think it's a nice deck and love the markings. For those that may have both, how do the two different decks compare (UMD and The Code)? Pros, Cons? Thanks guys, Matthew |

Try the "Low Vision Marking System" for the Bicycle Rider Back 808 deck.
LVMS is a blockout DIY toolbox for the generation "reading glasses". LVMS offers readability up to a distance of approximately 90 cm (one yard). Yes, the UMD has the marks in the same place - in a very similar location to The Code. UMD has the suits represented as their actual symbol, whereas The Code has the suit as a letter. For me UMD is a little easier to read, but I use both. The Code obviously has more info available on it.

If you are a bit open and want Casino Quality, why not try the Phoenix Marked Deck? The design was built around the marking in first place, the regular deck of Phoenix is the Marked Deck with the markings removed. That way the markings are well hidden, twice as big as the UMD and will definitely stay in print, so you do not have to buy them in large quantities...
