I will be attending Magic at the Beach 2012 as a dealer where I will have at least 200 of my "Thread Tubes" available for sale (both wholesale and retail). Levitate a dollar bill, use it as a reel, float a cigarette to your mouth, or even perform the classic Okito Floating Ball all with the same utility device. This is not just another hook-up, this is the ultimate thread system designed by a "worker" yet still the easiest system for any beginner to master! http://magicatthebeach.org -JoeJoe

Wow - I've been overwhelmed by how great these are being received by magi, and really excited that after many many years of hard work and patience I have finally brought my product to market!
Jeff McBride bought three of them, and from what I understand he gave them one heck of an incredible plug during his lecture ... unfortunately I wasn't able to attend which is a shame because he apparently wanted me to come up and strip the thread for his butterfly effect. Sooo ... it's really hard to explain in words what a thread tube is, and what it does ... but after this convention I'm going to fire up my video studio and put the pitch I've been crafting online for everyone to see what a thread tube is and what it does. And yes, tubes will be available online in the near future ... I've just been so busy gearing up for the convention, I've had absolutely no time to focus on anything else. -JoeJoe

Another awesome day at the convention ... a kid had bought one and that THAT VERY SAME DAY took it to Apple Bee's and did the trick ... they were so impressed that they gave them their meal for free. I asked a guy that bought one exactly how long it took him to strip the thread after he first opened the package ... his reply ... 30 seconds ... I had to follow up, "and you have had how much thread experience before?" ... which was very limited, he had basically given up already.
I'm telling you guys, thread work is about to become a lot easier! But don't be fooled by that statement ... Asi Wind came looking for me wanting to see what everyone was talking about, about 1/3rd through the pitch his eyes light up and he's like "ohhhhh - these are for workers!" ... I'm like "YES - EXACTLY". This is a system designed by a worker, yet it is still the easiest system for a beginner to master! Oh yeah ... I almost forgot ... many years ago I had posted somewhere else that I could strip invisible thread blindfolded in the dark ... which judging from the responses was not taken very seriously ... well, now there are several witnesses to that feat including Dirk Losander. The Thread Tube DVD will explain exactly how you can do this too! -JoeJoe

Yes, you can reload it with any type any color any brand of thread you want.
You can put Kevlar in them, but you can't strip it into the tube like with nylon ... which means you can only do the basic stuff and not a lot of the fancy stuff. I don't have any experience with newer threads like vectra so I can't comment on that (I'm not a fan of stronger thread, I prefer to make the object lighter). I will be selling tubes for about $15 at my website soon, which will include domestic shipping. $50 for the DVD which will include three thread tubes. -JoeJoe

I have absolutely no experience with thread work. I tried a itr once and could not get it hooked up. I think the hardest part is that I simply can not see the thread!
How hard would this be for someone at my skill level? I want to do a floating napkin at the pub and perhaps a dancing cane. -Altrez |

JoeJoe, I like thread work and am very interested in this. Do you work in Myrtle Beach? I know I met you last summer. I will see you in August if you are going to be around.

I don't get what this does. Is it a reel? Or just a tube to help manage the thread?

Altrez: you will be able to see the thread, I promise you. I have the best system for stripping thread, you will be able to see it clearly standing 5 feet away. And it won't even matter if you can see it or not - because I'm going to teach you how to strip thread blindfolded in a pitch black room while someone holds their hands over your eyes.
WCoach: yes - I work Myrtle Beach, "Barefoot Landing" to be exact. I'll be here! Xiqual: Soon! I don't want to just send you the tube, you will really need the DVD to fully appreciate this. If I just send the tubes you will miss out on all the really good stuff. The instructions only cover the "basic" stuff, it is just too hard to explain it with words. I'm putting a rush on this, it won't take long ... I started filming last night. Gene: Excellent question. It is NOT a reel. I invented it back in 1995/1996 to help manage the thread ... but it has grown into so much more than that. It used to just be a holder to carry thread ... then I figured out how to use it as a thread dispenser ... then I discovered it could be used as an actual hook-up ... and then I showed others, and they came up with even more hook-ups. In fact, one of those hook-ups is a reel so while it is not a reel ... it can still be used as a reel! Does that make sense, or am I just confusing people? I hope not. -JoeJoe

Thanks for that information JoeJoe. Maybe you could shoot a quick video to show us what the benefits are? It's really not coming across, to me anyway. Used as a reel, but not a reel? Please explain? We're not talking about revealing any magic secrets here - we all know about IT and reels and such. Why not explain the benefits of using this "tube"? Why would one use this tube rather than a reel or other similar device? What does the tube do that other devices don't? Thanks!

While we may all be magicians here, it is still a public forum accessible to anyone with Google, so I would prefer not to be revealing secrets.
I have no problems showing magicians how these work - I exposed them to everyone during the convention, because it is only when you see how it works do you realize how strong and powerful this thing really is. I'll consider posting an "unpublished" video on YouTube, where it doesn't get indexed by YouTube and can only be seen if your know the secret URL. Give me some more time please ... I'm in the studio filming right now ... once I have something to show you, I'll be more than happy to start a thread in the "secret sessions" forum. -JoeJoe

Hi Joe Joe,
Sorry, $50 for a DVD is not for me. I already use thread, can strip it and have several thread reels. I have every thread DVD available. If you ever have the tube and some written instructions. I'll bite. Good luck to you, James

But so you know ... the DVD will cover a lot more than just the thread tube. I'm going to include my total fool-proof method to always KNOW if you are in the right light. You will never again second guess you lighting conditions. And I will show you how to see the invisible thread, yet nobody else will be able to - no longer will you accidently snap the line. That's right - you will be able to see the thread, and nobody else will! And it will also cover my special secret moves ... such as my "hover" move and my "orbit" move. The orbit move is top notch ... one of the most deceptive thread moves ever, and I've popped the eye balls of many a magicians with it. So I'd like to suggest you wait to see the promo for the DVD before you make your decision. -JoeJoe

"total fool-proof method to always KNOW if you are in the right light".
I'd pay $50 just for that secret! I've read all the info on it, lighting should be in front, not behind or overhead, etc. But if there is more underground info, I'm in! Clarke |
