Hi Folks...
I'm just letting you know that I spent the day reorganizing all my magical apparatus. It was a fun day. Here is a picture of the finished product...

Most of my stuff is in boxes organized by type of show they would fit in. Each item is in zip lock bags and the outside box label reflects the items that are in the box. Most of the larger items are displayed.

Here is a close up picture of a box label...

I'm posting this to inspire some to organize your stuff. In the process, I thinned out a large amount of stuff that I will be brining to an upcoming auction. It also allowed me to see what items I still need to add to my repertoire and create a wish list that makes sense, based on what I already have.

How do you store your stuff? Post a picture of your magic apparatus organization, and together lets inspire many. Now for some sleep...

I use a lot of plastic totes, a trunk that acts as a coffee table, a couple sets of plastic drawers, two metal shelving units, the prop cases that house my current shows and some miscellaneous boxes. I don't really put anything on display, because it lengthens the time needed to load my car for gigs.

I should post a list of the stuff I want to get rid of, for the guys in the local magic club. The shipping cost for most of the stuff would be too expensive for what I'd get for it.

I do something similar as you. I was just looking at Bento to digitally track my stuff and keep an inventory. Do you guys use any particular software for organizing your stuff?

Nothing in my house is THAT organized. I'm envious. Since you enjoyed it so much, please PM me for my home address
and fly out and do the same for me!!!

When my last kid moved out of the house.
I was able to take his bedroom and organize
all of my magical props.i thought I had plenty
of room to spare.now two years later it is wall to wall.
and 50% of the floor is covered too.but it is nice to be able
to go in and find what I want and keep it that way.

Getting ready to do my annual thinning out and organizing. If I haven't used something in a couple of years, I try to move it along. Looking forward to getting this done by the New Year.

Every couple of years I like to print out my inventory list of all the magic stuff I own and do a physival inventory. I usually find things I forgot I had or discover that something has gone missing. It makes for a really fun weekend though. Smile

I haven't finished my inventory yet, but here is a new picture. My stuff looked more interesting and better displayed years ago. Now everything is cased and ready for travel.
