Does anybody here have Aldo Colombini's book "What's Up Deck?" I'd be interested in hearing about it.
Thanks in advance guys. Chris |

My answer isn't quite to the point of your question, but I hope it contributes something to your making a decision. Re any of Aldo Colombini's material, it is always audience tested, with good presentations, and the methods chosen the simplest, yet effective enough to achieve the desired effect. Aldo has several books on card magic and close-up along these lines. However, I think you will get more bang for the buck, if you get some of his lecture notes. In this regard, I would especially recommend a set of notes called "First Impressions". Strong items in these notes are Contact Colors (a multiclimax routine = a card location, a 4 Ace discovery, and finally the separation of the cards into red and black piles), Aces A Go-Go (an Ace assembly), and Stand Up (a quicky card rise effect). To find it you might check Colombini's web site to see if it is still available from him. It was his 1999 Lecture Notes. If not, H&R Magic Books has it listed in their inventory and should have a copy. Be sure you get the Colombini book, there is also a Lee Earle book with the same title. Steve
