You have to really watch where you store your coins - especially your coin gaffs. I ruined an almost brand new Hung, Drawn & Quarterd set from Mark Mason. I received something in a nice little tin box lined with velvet or felt. I decided to use it to store the set in. A week later I opened it and the coins were all blackened and slimy! I never could clean them up. The clad coins all ended up copper color but not evenly. Nothing I tried was able to restore the color.
Now I only use nice coin cases. Lined preferably, though the Onosaka purses appear to be lined with the same finished leather as the exterior. Jim |
