My mother-in-law lives on a ranch, kinda distant from everything. Around Christmas we had two violent storms that knocked down over 30 trees in the area close to the house.
Today I spent all of daylight pruning the fallen trees and piling the branches in some mighty huge piles. Pine and spruce, so kinda dense piles too. When sunlight started to fade, I set the first pile ablaze. I had been at it for a few hours before I got to slow down and take it in. There I was, on a small clearing amidst age-old pine trees. No light other than the flames, though the snow reflects it nicely. Crystal clear sky with thousands of stars. About 15 below zero, but the fire kept me really warm. And total absence of other sound but the crackling of the fire. And that's when I thought of everyone here...it was just pure magic for me. Got all emotional there all by myself.

WOW! Sounds like a great moment in time. One that you will cherish and share with others but not be able to express fully. ENJOY. They are few and far between.
If I were to agree with you. Then we would both be wrong. As of Apr 5, 2015 10:26 pm I have 880 posts. Used to have over 1,000
