Hi David, I've really benefited from your DVD. Thanks for taking time to share your wisdom with us on the Café.

To what degree, if any, do you involve parents, teachers, other adults in a kids show and how? Thanks again.

If there are at least 10% adults in the audience, I will tailor my show both to the children and the adults. If it is just me, 30 kids, and one parent, I probably wont include the parent. If I do a preschool I usually include the teachers. If there is an auditorium of 300 kids and 3 teachers it is a kids show only.

The way I include the adults is to make jokes for the adults. The adults see a different show then the show the kids see. The kids laugh at kid jokes, the adults laugh at sophisticated jokes.

I enjoy having the adults there. I am more present during the show because my brain is working to make them laugh.

I almost never use an adult in the show as a volunteer.

Remember the most important thing always is to entertain the kids.
