It might help if folks could delete a post they made even after their (edit) time is up. That would clean up a lot I would think. I saw some posts on Jamies (Vault) thread and one person in particular (I assume) would have deleted their post after the second person commented on how inappropriate it was. That way people can (save face) themselves...
Also, why can't we give (Likes)? That is another way to keep the clutter to a minimum. There are many posts I'd give a (Like) to without having to add a post just to say (+1) or (agreed). |

If a post is removed, following posts might not make sense if they relate to one that's no longer there. That's what the moderators are there for - if something is inappropriate, they'll remove it.
As for liking posts, I personally think one Facebook is enough. People will sometimes suggest features like that or a chat feature, but I've made plenty of friends here on the Café, and I communicate with them on Facebook, email, or in person. I doubt that there's so little space that an "I agree" post is going to slow things down.

If you ever want to delete your own post, you can use the "report this post" feature and ask a moderator to delete it for you. I've done that a couple of times.
