THIS, is money well spent. Extremely clever, and the instructions/photos superb. A real worker, and easy to do.
Some think Houdini used trap doors in his act, but he was just going through a stage.

I ordered it 14 days ago. By lack of time I only now could look into it.
I have a complaint! It is priced much to low.
Sometimes, an idea is worth more than a lot of material.
This is such an idea.

Hey, that's funny: the two stamps that you used at the end of your (nice) website represent two of the three languages that are spoken in my country.
PARTI = French for "sent, gone"
AANGEKOMEN = Dutch for "arrived, recieved)

(they also speak German in a little part of the country)

I bought the ebook and glanced through it.There's some construction involved but It doesn't look too difficult.
It is very promising and you can do wonderful stuff with this envelope.I am looking forward to having a few days off to make and try out the envelopes

The only complaint I have is that you went to great lengths to describe every facet of the envelope and construction and then gave us nothing for the actual peek. I personally think the actual method for the peek should have been included. And/or alternate peek methods. Or at least mention on the description and sales pitch that no peek method is included and buyer will have to figure that out for themselves.

@ Waterloophai
Thanks for your words! What a coincidence with the stamps... I only chose them as they resembled also the German word ("angekommen").

@Doug:
Actually, the book describes what I think is the most convincing peek for the given 'starting position' (see page 32).
Did you miss an in-depth description or was something unclear about it?
Or did you accidentally skip this section??
By the way, the credits section the book names and guides you to the source of this peek for anyone interested in more background knowledge. Please let me know by email if you have any specific question about the peek or if you look for another one (which should not be too hard to accomplish with the build-up of the Mati).

Enjoy your weekend,
Felix

Now that some of you have had experience with this what kind of business cards are you using? What is their weight? What is the printing like? I'd like a good description.

Thanks, Ted

I've already emailed Ted with some specifics of my preferred types of business cards (in case you prefered them over blank cardstock).
I also mentionned that you could also use cards that are black on one side to avoid any suspicion of something shimmering through...

An important request for everyone replying:
Please be careful in your phrasing in order not to give away too much of the secret you've paid for! If in doubt, please send PMs!

Thanks for your fairness!

My thoughts on the 'MATI'

Felix Schellenberg's 'The Mati Envelope' is very well written clear and concise manuscript while adopting a step by step approach of constructing the gimmick envelope. This is like a mini crafts project meant primarily for the DIYers. The envelope(s) is easy to make/ construct and needs very little of your craft skills.

This, IMO is a very useful and a must have peek envelope for every working mentalist. I have, over the years seen many different kind of peek envelopes but none as deceptive as the 'MATI'. The peek technique is new - it's different. The 'MATI' will be a nice and worthy addition to ones repertoire. The 'MATI' ad is as honest as it claims to be.

The 'MATI' concept is very clever and simply brilliant. Give it a try and see it for yourself.

I would highly recommend the 'MATI' to all our working mentalists.

I agree with Ustaad. This is a fine device and very deceptive. You make your own and the instructions are very clear. I certainly recommend this.
