3D has always been gimmicky, more than anything. But hey, it's an excuse for Lucas to re-release his cash-cows. It will make the cost back.

Actually, episode 2 bears out that the Stormtrooper clones were MODIFIED clones of Jango Fett, altered to be less cunning and more obedient.
Boba Fett was a PURE clone of Jango--hence he IS cooler.
