This is an effect that came out by Verne McCarthy a while back.
http://magicmax.com/product_info.php?products_id=1000 Can anyone tell me more details about it? The good? The bad? That kind of stuff... |

Well . . . after read the effect I must confess that looks really impossible! Sounds very good indeed.
From the point view of the public this effect is very, very Magical and very, very comercial for any magician. In fact, I would love to hear some review about it. Falconer

This is the only other forum I could find on this very expensive Bill in Lemon trick.
http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=109 That posting was in 2005, and they have not changed their web ad at all. Is it even available? Does not look like anyone has actually purchased this yet, so you would have an exclusive item. |

I am about to embark on a magic cooking tour with a well known gourmet chef from NH. We are doing a live cooking/magic show together. A quite surprising combo actually. I thought that this would be a nice piece to incorporate into the show

There are so many versions of the Bill in Lemon on the market that would work just as well. From the one in Mark Wilson Course in Magic book that the late great Billy McComb used to very expensive versions.
There are versions with no gimmicks and versions with gimmicks. There are methods that actually burn a bill each time to signed and torn corner versions. Yes, a Bill in Lemon would work with a cooking show, as well as Mikame's Watch Box for the watch in loaf of bread, and Playing Card in Orange. Sock to Pear (Pair) is a good gag item. Try Baking a Cake in a hat trick and the Omelette Pan as well. Silk to Egg come to mind, either the comedy version or the automatic version. |

Believe me, all of those idea have come to mind. I am already planning of doing a silk to egg. I have done several version of bill in lemon effects in the past. But this one I just wanted to know more about it. Still sounds really appealing to me...

The first time I saw this advertised it was only 300 bucks. I have never seen anything other than this advertisement for the trick. No videos, no reviews, no nothing. I'd be a bit skeptical unless I had some more information on it. Like what Wmhegbli said......a lot of money for the same effect as a 2 dollar version.

I am just a skeptic as you would be. It still sounds some what appealing to me. Not gonna deny it. I'm gonna try to get a hold of Verne himself, so I can determine what I want to do for myself. wmhegbli: thanks for the reference. I may use this method, but who knows. Anyone else have any direct experiences with this effect by chance?? |

As stated, I don't think they even sold one yet! I did some googling and did not find any comments, or anyone that said they actually own it. You may be the 1st and you can let us know if it is any good.
