I have to agree with Logan and all the other guys that just LOVE TT. I LOVE MINE. It's so strong that I always use it as a closer with the invisible deck. My patter goes something like this:
I talk about fortune tellers seeing into the past. I invite a spectator to look into my past, where I had turned over a card in the middle of a deck. I have the spectator hold on to the Invisible Deck. I draw a crystal ball on the TT on a post it note. I make a joke about not being able to carry a real crystal ball. I have the spec. concentrate about my past and "SEE" the card that I reversed in the deck as they GAZE into the CRYSTAL BALL. They write a card in the "Crystal Ball" while my back is turned, they put a rubberband around the TT. When I turn around, I transfer the TT from one spectator to another. That's when the SECRET thing happens. I ask the other spec. to hold it in-between their hands. I take the Invisible deck from the 1st spec. I get to THE card in the fan. I say to the spec. "Here is the card that I turned upside down this morning . . . . YOU'RE gonna really freak me out if you saw into my past!! . . . for the first time WHAT CARD DID YOU SEE IN MY PAST?!" When the spec reveals her prediction, I act FREAKED OUT and ask her to turn over the card. I say "HOW DID YOU KNOW??!!" You should see the reactions. IT'S a KILLER !! SOOO, Mesaboogie . . . there is your proof. It's strong because it uses 2 invisible methods. And, there is now MOTIVATION why the TT was used (it's a CHEAP CRYSTAL BALL for the Spec. !!) No one, has ever found the gimmick of the TT, and mine still works fine after 3 years. EVERY MAGICIAN SHOULD OWN ONE. take care, Greg Rostami |

I also like your presentation with the thought transmitter and invisible deck. You have made me reconsider buying this. Does anyone use the stealth wallet?

Thanks Logan, Thanks Maca,
I just wanted to share a few interesting subtleties about my presentation: * I give the spec. the I.D. and have'em put it in their pocket(purse) BEFORE I bring out the TT.(I'll tell you why later) * Ask the spec. to write down the card using only 2 characters (6 of Clubs would be "6C") . . . As I say this I pantomime writing 2 BIG characters in the middle of the drawn crystal ball. I say, "For speeds sake, please only use 2 characters" This not only speeds things up, it also makes the peeking process much easier. * I emphasize, "To be 100% fair, don't let ANYONE else see what you're writing." This is very important for the climax of the routine. * When my back is turned, I ask "Is the case closed with the rubberband around it IN YOUR HAND?" The "IN YOUR HAND" part is very important. Because, when I turn around, I say "Could you please take the box of cards out of your pocket?" This gives me a REASON to hand the TT to someone else, so that his hands can be free to remove the deck from his pocket. This is very natural, and goes completely unnoticed. Later, the audience doesn't even remember me touching the TT. * The "PEEKING" happens when I'm handing the TT to someone else. I don't say anything while I do it, so it catches the other spec. off guard. By the time he realizes his job is to hold this thing, I've had more then enough time to peek. The 2 BIG characters make the peek really fast. Right after I peek, I turn my head away from the TT. * I fan the I.D. in my hands and get to the reversed card, I ask the spec. "Please take out the reversed card, I don't want to touch IT, but don't turn it over yet". * I say "Now let's recount . . . you looked into my past . . . you saw a card . . . NO ONE here knows what you THOUGHT . . . AND OH . . . By the way . . . if you get this right, YOU'RE GONNA REALLY FREAK ME OUT!!". " O.K. (deeeeep breath) For the first time . . WHAT CARD DID YOU SEE IN MY PAST?!" * When they answer, FREAK OUT . . . stomp your foot, bang the table, look away . .. "WOW . .. I don't believe it . .. HOW DID YOU KNOW?!" At this point, most spectators will turn the card over themselves to see why I'm reacting. They will then react just like me. * I now finish by saying "Obviously, there is NO WAY, I'm ever gonna top YOUR magic, So I might as well stop right here." This leaves the audience with a sense of empowerment. My style of magic is, I ALWAYS attribute the magic to the spectators. I NEVER take credit for the magic, I'm just showing THEIR magic. I'm always just as amazed as they are . . . And I always ask them "How do you do that?!" "Magic ON DUDE !!" Greg Rostami |

Grostami,
Great routine, thanks for sharing. A couple other things about the Thought Transmitter. You can always justify handling the TT by using the white card to place you prediction on. You can justify writing in the TT so that someone doesn't try and cheat and change their mind. I mention that I have them write it with erasable pen so there are no impressions made with a pen.

Here's a very good idea that Al Cohen shared with me shortly after this product hit the market (I don't if Al originated the idea).
After the spectator records his thought, have him rubber band the wallet closed to prevent you from peeking and have him place and seal the wallet in a clear plastic bag, for example a zip lock sandwich bag, to prove that you won't even be able to touch the wallet. Retrieve the bag with the enclosed wallet from the spectator and fold the bag over so that it's tightly wrapped around the wallet -- as you do so, perform the necessary move to ascertain the information through the clear bag. All great comments. Nowe.....consider the Mind Reader Wallet. It works on same principle as TT, is smaller, less expensive and made of leather. Received mine today. AND, it has a replacement for that special something included.

"...It sounds great. But maybe it is not as good as it sounds." ?????? Are you O.K.? Anyway, in answer to your question, you should buy it, or not.

I also love the TT. Everyone here seems to use the ID but I think the BW deck works better, It seems that a sleight would be impossible. This is good for a quickie. I also use the zip-lock bag, but I also include a wooden box with a lock and key and a guard. The card is written at the start of the show and that gives me something for the problem/B-day little person to do so they are included. This also gives glue time to dry as the revelation is done by writing the card on Fl*** P**** with elmers. All the FP will dissappear except for where elmer was. One word of caution, get permission from clients and don't do it with real little people, for them, use a giant rising card or something simmilar.
