The Opium Coin trick is my own origination. Harvey Rabkin began making and marketing it for me over 25 years ago via Sasco
MAgic. more recently I rereleased it through Kreis Coins in a much improved form. Half dollar and ancient Japanese coin reproduction. Top quality machine work.

Todd. I'm thrilled to hear you like it. In Vol. 2 of Dr. Sawa's Coin Magic he has routined the Opium Coin in an effect he calls the Cushion Coin. visible penetration with a ball point pen. I believe Stevens Magic carries it.

Best always,

Kotah

Gaffed coins are fun alright, I have quite a few from over the years. I must admit though that I don't play with most of them and rely mostly on SOH. Actually using the gaff stuff often times with SOH increases the magic, making it look impossible at times. Smile For me, the simple C/S Coin has been my favorite to use. Really got got a bang out of it using it in my "JumpMandu" effect. Smile I would also say that an X[ can be very deadly as well, just check out Roth's ['d Coins Across - Super Clean! Smile

You can go on & on with some of the newer gimmicks out there from Kotah's brilliant Opium Coins to Tango's very flexible TUC but the initial thinking behind the simple C/S coin and [ is the base-line thinking behind all the rest in many cases, IMHO. Smile

Very easily, Dean's set. It's the most versitle gaff I own other than a thumb tip. I'm CERTAINLY not much of a coin guy, but use it for 3 routines.
