Doing a gig this weekend... Can't wait.
I want your best tricks. I want no reset. I want so nobody can figure any of them out. I want all your killer patter. I want your best jokes (don't leave any out) I want any bits of business that can get you tons of laughs I want to know how you approach, get into and out of each trick. I want to know the order I should do them. I want all your best kept secrets so I can use them this weekend. I DON'T want to have to practice so don't be rude and give me hard stuff to do. Let's all put our heads together so I can have a great gig this weekend. It will be fun for all of us to get a great list together for me. We will all benefit from me getting this great list of stuff I can do. Let's have fun with this and really give me your best stuff. PM me if you want my address where you can send any necessary props for free. Remember, this is magicians helping magicians so let's all help each other by listing your best stuff for me. *smiles*

Bandit ball (using a small red silk to cover the ball and box). then make the silk vanish with a TT. then pull out another rubber band and do the crazy man's handcuffs. relatively simple little routine. and if you're worried that they'll figure out the bandit ball trick... they tend to stop thinking about it when they see the silk disappear.

One of my best effects is "Dislocated Genitalia"
Begin by placing the index finger of your right hand through the zipper of your trousers. You approach the table holding a silk in front of yourself in your left hand. Your introduction should be quick and to the point as you whip away the silk revealing your 'prop'. While their still in shock proceed with your favorite finger dislocation technique. Sometimes (if I'm prepared) I have a Vienna sausage palmed in my left hand. This way I can toss it onto the table providing enough misdirection to get my right hand free from my pants to proceed to the next trick. You should give it a go, its a real winner,IMHO, my 2 cents, a worker, really commercial blah blah blah. This is also a good lead in to a chop cup routine. If you've opted to use the Vienna sausage, its already in play; or just continue on with your classic routine. |

Phil Plus 2 is awesome. That trick totally floors people and it's funny (at least I have a good time performing it and making people laugh). "I name your card you name my card..." buuuwhha ha ha. It's a killer trick that is also hilarious. Little to no reset.

I only work REALLY classy places. I open with Pull my finger, then onto Got your nose, and finally Guess which hand it's in.

Multi-phase rock-scissors-paper. Follow that with the "someone stole your car" bit and the "how many goats for your daughter" magic square routine. If you still have time, bet a comped meal that you can read their mind. Do the, "pick a number between one and ten thousand" routine. When you get it wrong, accuse them of lying to get a free meal.
Memorable stuff. Instant reset. Very few props and no pocket space except for the index used for the ten thousand numbered cards. Forgot you asked about patter and jokes. I have a running dialogue about my prostate problems and bowel habits. Everyone can relate. Gets a great reaction. |

You really shouldn't be putting this kind of quality material out there, I for one am going to use most of it in my act.

And, I, for another one, am going to wait until this threads surpasses 11 pages. Then I'm going to collect all of these fabulous ideas, call them my own, and put out a book (with companion DVD of course).

Nothing kills like a final load of doggie poo! Screams and Holler promised to foller, and it will definitely leave a warm fuzzy feeling when done in the spectators hand!!

I like the pull my finger trick, which is the best finger to use and should it be my opener or closer?
