YAWN...
I think I’ll take up fly tying. Then again, if I do so I’ll more likely than not drift to a forum site dedicated to it and hopefully (one can only pray) that it will not sink into this never ending childish YouTube like behavior with self indulgent, arrogant and pompous squabbling. If that doesn’t work, I’ll take up shaving my head with a cheese grater while chewing on tin foil as a pastime. After years on the Café it might very well prove to be a breath of fresh air and quite relaxing.

Will do. Just baffled that more people didn't see what happened here. Guy...those other people don't care. They've waded thru hundreds of threads ricochetting off into spiraling defensive arguments and partial-sentence quotes. Welcome to the Café. After awhile you just thicken your skin and wade on by. Everybody still likes everybody (except for those 2 A.H.'s I can't stand) so it's all cool. and my vote goes to the S. W. method as it seems to be most invisible when played out.

Thanks for the compliment.
Greg Arce PM'd me with a nice little addition that I will try out. That man never stops thinking! Just another little tip, Using my phone I made a photo of the list of f**c* words in the instructions. I then set it as my opening screen. Every time I use my phone I get a look at the list. Soon gets them into the memory without much effort. steve |

I happen to prefer Tru-Test to Glance as TT suits the way I like to present.
Tearing pages up is congruous with other things I do. I am getting close to needing some more pages. Are the ones that are available now exactly the same as the originals or has there been some editing done? Steve |

The message I'm getting is that you can but it's not recommended. I've done a mix of dinner parties, parlour and walk around for years and am just starting to get on the stage. Can you shed some light on this Nathan (or anyone who's performed this in a "closeup" environment? |

The only reason I can see why it would be discouraged to do close-up, would be to prevent people looking at stuff after the effect has finished.
Routining and audience management can reduce the chances of this happening, to almost nill. I don't recall people saying MOABT or AREA or other similar things being not-for-close-up. Tru Test can be done close up, certainly. |

I do tru-test close up only. As far as the magazine goes, they can even take it home with them if it came down to it.

Interesting. Audience Mgmnt would definitely be a must. I don't think I'll shy away from performing it closeup. As long as all bases are covered I believe it would all work out nicely.

It's not about the magazine, why would they have time to read it?
get a word and get rid of the magazine - I don't want people to remember I gave them a normal magazine, I don't want them to remember anything about the magazine! a magazine nearly makes more sense close up as it is something you might have with you, you can use this anywhere and given the way it works, you can have this week's magazine and throw it in the bin afterwards if you want, as said above they can keep it if they want after the routine it's one of the free-est things I use, you can do anything with it

Tru Test... Sooooo good! We hired Nathan to do his lecture for us in Springfield, PA a couple of weeks ago. We had a great time! He's really entertaining, great ideas, great magic, and so willing to help. (He went through dozens of cards helping us with the mercury card fold, lol) His lecture has just the right amount of effects so as not to overload the brain. If you are still wondering if Tru Test is as good as you hear, let me say that I had not heard of it. I was a happy "layman" for this one. He ripped out the page, handed it to me, I ripped and ripped, picked a word and BAM, he got it! Everyone was floored! Great stuff Nathan. Everyone is still talking about the ENTIRE lecture.

I cant wait to get mine. Just out of curiosity, how functional does your "hippocampus" portion of your brain have to be? I mean, is there a ridiculous amount to memorize and does Kranzo go through strategies of doing this on the DVD?
