I was wondering if anyone knew of a steel coin in the bottle that exists. I was thinking I could use a PKR to make it appear into a sealed bottle.

Look in to the trick called clink.
it is similar to what you are talking about but it uses a glass.it is a very good trick. todd |

I guess there's no kind that'll fit into a bottle though?

Mndude, I was thinking along the same lines. Steel core quarter in glass bottle. Effect would be "Prohibition" by Charlie Justice. It would be a souvenir for the spectator, so it could get expensive. I was thinking of using a Canadian Quarter.
Cutting the bottle, inserting the coin and resealing it is the problem. I have not yet found a method that is indetectible. Doug |

I can't believe no one has invented a steel core f------- quarter. It would make the illusion appear like you just did the impossible. I wonder if there's any coin makers that we could suggest this to, or if they could create one if you were to send them a clink. You know of any gaffed coin makers?

In the interim, a folded beer cap (using the PK ring method) is a very effective alternative - especially as you can load the cap whilst the bottle is full; and still pour the beer into a glass at the outset of the effect.
