Is this item available in English package?
All I have seen is Japanese. Can't even find a picture of one in English Package. AA |

I'm pretty sure I have the English packaging for this one.
I can take a picture of it if you like. ![]() |

I really do not understand why some people, who collect Tenyo magic trick, a Japanese brand if it still has to clarify, are paying as much interest to have an English package, rather than the original packaging of the brand in Japanese. The original one is the Japanese one. I like the US package too but the japanese one are equally important, and even more rare for old tricks.

I don't understand either Stereo ... . Like Prison Box, some pay more for the English then the Japanese packaging because it has been discontinued. Why?! It's the same trick! Ok, the manual is a copy but apart from that ... ?

Hi Killertweety I agree that the packaging for me is the least important, however different people collect for different reasons.I have a friend that collects Hot Wheels cars, he has 1000's of them and none have ever been opened. Other Hot Wheels collectors open them and display them. Tenyo has nothing on Hot Wheels for different variations that collectors look for!
For me on Tenyo the order of importance is: 1) Trick in good working order as close to new condition as possible 2) Includes the original instructions (will want a photocopy at a minimum) 3) Includes packaging I do save all of the packaging but only because I think it may possibly help in selling the items down the road when I buy a small house on the ocean somewhere! Of course John, I understand completely. And I do understand why people would collect Tenyo tricks without opening them IF they have an opened one to play with or perform. That indeed makes sence, not only because it looks good in the package but also if one wants to sell the item later. Or just to have a spare when the other one brakes (as I try to have from each really good item).
What I don't understand is people (and I know a few) that want to have Prison Box. Well, fine. Why do they want it? Because they want to perform it/find out the secret/play with it - they told me that. I told them Magico Japan still has a few - they were happy. Then they realized it was Japanese packaging WITH copied English instructions and they were put off ... they want the English version, and if they would have to pay twice the price they would, or so they told me. They will have their reasons (they didn't give me any though) and I fully respect that - like with everything everyone is entightled to have her or his own opinion without giving explanations for it. I just don't understand ![]() |

I muust admit I do not understand that either Killertweety. I know some people seem hesitant to order from Japan thinking there may be issues (we all know Hitomi offers great sevice!)Other than that cannot understand what difference it would make if they are opening and playing/performing with it.

Ditto on Hitomi & her Magico Japan site. She is the best of the best. Fast, friendly & obliging.

If I am getting the trick to perform it makes no difference.
If it is for my collection or for speculation then English packaging is all I want because I am English speaking and I only deal with Engliah speakers when I trade or sell. Place an English Illusion Truck next to a Japanese one. I bet you will pickup the English version. Don't underestimate the value of packaging when it comes to collecting. It can easily be worth 50% of an items value. You can take that to the bank! If I am getting the trick to perform it makes no difference. |

Nobody tell that package is not important when collecting items ! All collectors know that the package is ultra important.
What I say it's that the original one is the Japanses One. Philosophically a collector should preferre the original version. The last 2 years Tenyo don't make English package and there lot of old tricks wich do not have english real package like Merlin's Coffer, Future clock etc etc... I preafear the English package too but I have no probleme with the japaneses one to add in my collection. And depending on the trick I can prefer either one or the other. Also I would always glad to have the Japanese version if I never could find the English version. For me it was not worth less if the trick is brand new in package And besides it could be worth more because Japanese package are increasingly rare in our regions. For the perfect collection should be a copy of the Japanese version and a copy of the English version. XD |
