I just saw this video on Ellusionist and thought it looked pretty cool, although I was thinking it might have a more powerful application such as predictions.
Has anyone here used this, and if so, how do you like it? |

It looks very nice, I'm hoping it doesn't have too much set up, would anyone care to tell us a little more about the specifics and practicality of the effect?

Even though it says that the spec can make the X's I would think that it would not be a good idea.
I am getting so tired of slitting the throats of people who say that I am a violent psychopath.

I purchased the download. 2 methods are discussed, 1 where the spectator can draw the x's and one where they can not. I actually think the 1 where the spectator draws the x's is stronger and it is safe to do. You will need some extras things to make your gimmick but you likely have most of them lying around your magic workshop. This is actually pretty clever. I think beginner may be a little misleading. I would say beginner/intermediate. Maybe 3 on difficulty on a scale from 1-10. The gimmick is reusable and in the end you can handout the clean signed card with the 4 grouped x's as a souvenir.

I cant see why letting them draw the x would be that big of a deal the last thing they're going to worry about is did I draw those x's.... if you do the effect the way it been laid out that's the last thing there thinking. They thinking and seeing if the ink removable,,, does the ink actually slide. Specs very rarely think logical or the simplest way. I think this is a forgotten art with the way magic being taught.
In the end it not about how good the effect itself is..it about how well you perform it. Lots of effects out there I wouldnt touch with a 10 foot pole, or even think that they are that great...but I been proven wrong more then a few time by seeing it the hands of some that loves it...works it and makes it there own. Anyways I think this effect is smoking for the straight fact that you give out the signed cards with the x's and there sig..Im not sure how more you want. |
