Anyone had difficulties contacting him? I got one figure from him which I liked a lot and I had him custom make another for me.I was communicating with him and he kept promising me pictures of the soon to be completed Mortimer Snerd figure and then he disappeared completely.I emailed him, wrote to him on FB my times but no replies.I know he travels a lot and he is very busy but it's been a while and I am getting worried.
I've paid him in full.He promised me delivery end of January.
What should I do?

I know Tim has been travelling on a conference this past week so that could be the reason for the delay. I've ordered something from him and last week he promised to dispatch it this week upon his return. Try emailing him again tomorrow because I think that's when he's back.

Yes...Tim might just be in a convention or an out of town gig, otherwise he would have replied swiftly.

I'm sure he will get in touch with you soon Smile

I'll start off by saying that I've never worked nor had any communication with Tim, so I cannot address the OP. However, and this may open up a can of worms, but lack of communication seems to be an issue with a number of figure makers. Not all, of course, but enough to have many people over the years discuss it and wonder what's going on. I can't help thinking that this issue would never be tolerated in other fields and industries, especially after a significant amount of money has been exchanged.

I understand Frankie's (maps) anxiety. And I agree with you, Keith. Businessmen should have (or assign) someone to answer client emails and calls if he can't do it--otherwise he shouldn't accept orders or inquiries. That's basic customer service.

I agree with both Keith and Ony... in any business, communication is vital.

However, If I were Frankie, I would still give Tim a few days to reply... I am certain he will as soon as he is online.

Now as for the delivery promised by January... well only Tim can answer that.

Why a customer needs to pay in full if the item is not finished? At least you should be able to see final product before sending the last payment. Lets hope for the best. Keep up posted.

What is troubling, is that even though some sellers don't have time to respond to your emails and telephone calls, they have TIME to POST to Facebook. So, it more than customer service, it means they are IGNORING YOU!! They choose not to respond to you. How else do you explain it?

Is he doing one for Bob Baker as we speak? There is a thread about the development of that figure with pictures. Frankie, ask Bob about the communication issue you are having, maybe he can help.

I have been emailing him and have been seeing pics of Bob Baker's pictures been posted here. This case has been going on for a couple of months.Especially when the promise of giving you a dateline for sending the product to you has been made but not kept.
Also promises of sending you pictures but none so far except the beginning part.
At least the other Tim, did eventually send me my Tater after almost 2 years. The promise made is 4 months waiting time but it's almost 2 years!
Is this normal?

When I did business with TIm we had no problems which I why I am confident he will reply to Frankie soon.

However, I strongly agree that a seller must communicate wirh a buyer specially when a merchandise is overdue and already paid in full. Time Is Money.

I understand what you mean Frankie... I would be frustrated too if I were in your situation.

Let's hope Tim replies to you soon.

On a similar scenario, I have emailed the other Tim several times to follow up my order and did not get a reply. I made a $500 deposit last year.

Terrible customer service!

I can understand that some artists (like the two Tims) MAY not be good in business dealings... but for heaven's sake they should get/hire someone to answer customer inquiries. They should understand they are in a business!

That's why I love the likes of Lee Cornell, Tom Ladshaw, Steve Axtell, Clinton Detweiler, Mike Brose, Dan Willinger... I've had wonderful email correspondence with them. I had nice experience with them as a customer...

I have to say that the ongoing communication with Tim about my new figure has been exemplary. We're finishing up wardrobe, and we'll be done. This makes me believe he'll come through for you other guys as well.
