As I set upon my sword swallowing journey under the instruction from Hannibal at
the Circus of Horrors gig a year ago, Dok Haze invited me to sword swallow at the Circus of Horrors show one year on, at the same venue I started learning in, alongside the sword swallower who pointed me in the right direction. So yesterday, I spent the day with the Circus of Horrors, at a theatre that's pretty local to me. Then, later that evening, I was on stage and sword swallowing with Hannibal in the show. That was my second time sword swallowing for an audience, other than friends and family, and the bigger of the two audiences. It was an excellent day, the show went well, I done my part pretty well, and I'm happy with the outcome. L. |

Good stuff Lurch, and congratulations.
If by chance you visit the show again could you say hello to Danny for me. We worked together about 30 years ago on Brassy Searles Circus in the UK. Cheers, Jerome Kirwan |

Yeah, I'll keep that in mind Jay, should I see him again I'll pass that on. I'm waiting for more pictures to surface, but I'm happy with the ones that are about. |

If only I had managed to do this a week or two earlier, I'd have seen about doing it in the show.

Is that stainless? The nail head looks like it was welded on? If so, you can see the point of fusion. Not to toot my own horn, but I could have made that for you. Okay, I am tooting my own horn, but my wife usually comes out with air freshener and complains when I do that.

Yeah, 304-2b stainless, welded by one of my mates. I wanted to be able to swallow the nail before the show, I literally had a couple of weeks notice about the show, so had the nail made over here, and managed to get it just for covering the cost of materials.

Definitely unique and original. Now you need to come up with a good name for the act. Human Nail Holder? Block-body?

Awesome picture! That seems like a really interesting take on swallowing. I'll bet it gets great reactions!

Cheers. I've done it a couple of times, it gets good reactions, I'm yet to do it in a performance though.
