I practiced magic as a child and have never ceased to be enchanted by it. I regretably abandoned it for almost 25 years while I pursued my studies and career objectives.
I should not have. I am married and now have a two year old son and have taken it back up again. My wife loves magic and our baby as well. I already have him doing the cups and balls, with a little help of course. It´s such a thrill to see him with his own set and little wand. It's a great mental exercise for him. Magic is a beautiful art. I am so happy to have returned to the realm of wonder. I look forward to sharing experiences with fellow conjurers through this exciting website I just discovered. Magically yours, JOSÉ

Hi Jose,
Don't feel bad about being away from magic. All of the life experiences you've had will only add to the magic you do now. I believe a lot of magicians would be more entertaining if they'd have some interests outside of magic. It would make them well rounded people with unique perpectives. Get out the cards, start practicing, and before you know it, you'll be stunning people with your talent. |

Welcome. Glad to have you. Don't sweat it, I too had gone away from a serious pursuit of magic for about a year and a half some time ago. It's just like riding a bike. You never forget.

Hi Jose,
Welcome to the Magic Café! Mya
There is nothing that remains so constant as change. Don't end up like concrete, all mixed up and permanently set.

Hi Jose
Welcome among us. I used to think myself as crazy for I began to teach magic to my nephew at the age of 5 and get him on the stage with his own act at the age of 8.5. But noooo. you have broken my record off into minute pieces. Teching your son magic at the age of 2 only...I congratulate the baby, he must be very smart... Anyway, you will never regret for joining to the Café , I promise but you have to post often. It is too much fun. Please enjoy a cup of strong Turkish Coffee on my bill while you begin to type your next posts.
Magically Yours,

Dear Tora,
Thanks for the kind reply. At the risk of sounding like a too-proud father, my son is really smart. He LOVES magic and among his first words are "Desaparecio" which means, in Spanish "It disappeared!" I really enjoy this site. If I ever get to Turkey, I promise to catch your show. Regards, Jose

Jose,
Welcome along! I have a son who is just turning 1, guess I had better start training him to keep up with your young one!! Nice to see you come back to magic, Chris
The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. Whoever does not know it and can no longer wonder, no longer marvel, is as good as dead, and his eyes are

Welcome Jose to The Café:
By your name and your username, you seems to be a spanish talker. And if you live in Paris, you must come to Spain next July 1-4 2004. Because the XXVI Spanish National Congress of Magic will take place in Zaragoza, a city in the north of Spain, very close to France, and you must be here with us, sharing and seeing magic. Bienvenido al Magic Café. All the best, Pablo Tejero

Hi Jose
Welcome on board. As you probably notice, I am pretty new here myself. However, in the short time I have been here, I have been scanning through a lot. I already have found heaps of interesting stuff, and I am dead sure that you will too. Enjoy! I do! Sven

Dear Chris, Chrystal, Snidini, Pablo and Sven,
Thanks for your greetings and as they say here in France "Bonne Magie". Chris: get your little boy a set of plastic cups and balls and sponge balls. Just playing with these cute, soft and colourful objects will stimulate his thinking process. Pablo: I am already looking at the roadmap to Zaragoza. Allá nos vemos amigo! Saludos, José
