Card: Kems
Riffle stacking 7x7 8x8 8x8 some false stuff. (on the second riffle stack I needed a third shuffle due because I noticed I was one card light) http://youtu.be/UUXrq6QqqHY I think its important to note consistency and the video is uncut. I think its important when posting videos that it does not matter if someone can do a move a single time, rather its important to street consistency multiple times. Finally, these moves are made for home / self dealt clubs obviously. I understand that it is not permitted to strip than cut but I never have been called out. Thanks |

This video illustrates the superiority of the Arcanum 1 method. those big blocks look fishy as hell. and what's the saying, trust your mother but cut the cards? I've never gotten used to the practice of not offering the cut to the right and I don't like sitting in games where there's no second cut. I know other folks don't have a problem with that, though, so what do I know.
Mr. Quackenbush believes that there is no such thing as a good magic trick.

Big chunks, of course, but with more practice... However, about the cut following a strip cut I'd recommend you to avoid it. When I started to play cards, a long time ago, it's the first thing old timers pointed out: a cut must follow a shuffle, not a cut. And I've heard the same thing in all the countries I've been since then. |

So long as you are not playing with an experienced poker player, who will likely know the normal procedures of the formal game like the back of his hand, I don't think they will understand that it is not permitted to strip than cut and so I don't think you would be called on it. If you are, the just act as if you did not know that. Its not not as though its cheating. The good thing about riffle work also is that there is no real rule that says a set amount of cards must be dropped. Obviously you want it to be right and looking a bit better but you are doing ok and as long as its flying in your game its perfect.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

I think it was a good effort and Blackeagle deserves credit for it... It was certainly better than I expected from him based on previous posts. Also, the comment about Arcanum one (I don't have it) may have been made sarcastically, (I'm not sure) but if it is those methods that allowed BlackEagle to get this far then they very well may be superior methods...
Blackeagle: I know even my compliments sound like insults but for what it is worth I honestly think it was a good effort and deserves some credit... keep at it. p.s. "I never get called on it" makes it sound like this is something you use in the "real world" and that is not a believable assertion. This is why some are busting your chops (and rightfully so). |

As only 2 people did not give me any feedback (all the other ones told me they've been delighted) I strongly doubt it was sarcastic.
I'd rather bet you didn't get jfquackenbush meaning. |

Thanks guys,
You've all made some good points. I'll see what I can figure out with the strip than cut. Its hard to crimp plastic cards without creasing or noticible ruining the cards. Most of the games I play in are with college kids. However, I need to try to practice like I am a professional dealer. In that regard, I do not have to worry about the person to the right of me cutting the cards, rather I need to overcome a strip/riffle/cut sequence. I'll do some homework and see what I can muster up. Thanks and good day |
