Hell, I do that myself at times but I’d much rather prefer getting an opinion from a trusted friend who knows my likes, dislikes and performance style, etc. Aside from that, Brett never made any type of review on it, nor did he tell others not to purchase it. He simply stated his (emphasis on the word “his”) decision not to purchase it based upon what his friend told him. Now, could you please tell me what is wrong with that James? Jeez….(NOT directed at you James) between this thread, the one associated with it that was locked and the Real Secrets discussion, if you can call it that, I’m just glad that I did not first run across threads like this when I first visited the Café. If I had, I can assure you that I would have never become a member. “Magicians helping Magicians”? It’s become more like; “People looking for Confrontation”. Very sad indeed.

People talk about angles for this. I am curious how any of the angle people could actually perform in the real world? Perfect example,
card to wallet. About the same angles as The Vanishing, maybe a little worse. What about gambler's cop? Wearing a TT, Anyway, I have been practicing The Vanishing, not ready to take it out yet, but I thought the demo was awesome and I will be able to do that someday. It is possible, you just need to practice. James

James,
As n when you get the hang of it, can you please make one demo video and PM me ??? I do not want to join the Shin Lim bashing this time. I think the guy need to hold on to his ideas (maybe file them), perfect them and THEN put out in the market. |

Doesn't this trick look like it works under the same concept of Fickle Nickle by John Cornelius?

Similar concept...but not identical. If you are aware of how Fickle Nickle works, it wouldn't be a stretch to figure out how The Vanishing works either.

It's not the best release, and yet not the worst.
I can't see myself performing any of the effects, mostly because I don't like the method and odn't feel comfortable with it. I don't think it's worth the effort because I don't feel the need to perform these specific effects. What you see in the demo is very doable. I'll look towards other things. |

That was essentially my thoughts as well. The vanish is indeed clever, but not super original. There are just some things with this kind of effect that scare me away from wanting to perform them. Although I'll probably find myself playing with it in the mirror, etc. just for fun, I can't see myself actually using this in performance.
