Is anyone else headed off to Boston Comic Con this weekend?
I had a great time last year, and the "Zomb-Eye" portrait was worth the trip. (It was my avatar until it was demanded I replace it). Monsters, Zombies, comics, props, preview of the new Avengers movie, Al Jaffee and crew, and a host of other pannels. Looks to be a great time. I'm looking to meet up with anyone from here that can attend. Tony |

Unfortunately I can't pop up for this. Was just up in King of Prussia last week at Marc Desouza's. Drove Ed Fowler up there so he could lecture.

Sounds like an excellent lecture!
Oh, the local Ghost Hunting groups attend this as well. |

Started officially at 7:30...stories started around 7... we did not get out of there until midnight.
I think it was very well recieved. 30 or so people attended. |

Sorry, was talking about Comic Con for the Ghost Hunters. Several groups help sponsor the printed program.
I don't think they would be invited to Marc's House. -------------(line to seperate topics) Did you drive home that night, or stay? You must have been dead on your feet. |

Our local comic and toy shows are great for finding props and making connections with like-minded people. I was a vendor at one of the more recent toy shows, and sold off my two highest-dollar spooky props (a "batwing fairy" skeleton and a "devil child" mounted skull). In the aisle immediately behind me, an artist/toy dealer from Texas was also a mentalist/bizarrist who was performing from his booth during the down times.
In addition to that, our cons tend to attract a lot of artists, writers, steampunkers, and costumed characters of all varieties. I attend more of these shows on an annual basis than I do magic conventions. Chris |

Our show is huge. It is probably close in size to the New York and San Diego conventions.

Frank, anytime Ed talks it's a good time (getting to chat with him again was one of the highlights of last years ICBM Gathering)
