You can find Paul Thomey's "Legend of Southside Johnny" and two other full deck story routines in my book Oasis (vanishingincmagic.com). They all use the Aronson stack, but you don't need to memorize the stack. You just have to know the story.

Also, there is a nice version of "Diamond Jack" in Bill Abbott's Cabaret Card Magic.

The L&L DVD mentioned above is EXCELLENT!

I was just going to ask if anyone had started with a needed or desired stack and then came up with a story to fit the stack. Looks like this isn't such a new idea on my part. Also went and downloaded the sample of Oasis. Looks like some really great ideas on expanding the scope of what can be done with a memorized deck, whether the memory part is needed for a particular trick or not.

That was a most impressive dressing for "A Soldier's Prayer Book." Crediting the writer of the song, T. Texas Tyler by tying him into the story as the person who told you was very well done.
