Any of you in the US Northeast getting that storm?
The Intellicast radar shows it snowing where I am but ain't nothing happening here. Seven local school districts have called off for tomorrow though. Got the generator full of gas and the fridge is full. Bring it on! Actually, tomorrow and Tuesday are the only days I have outside work this week so I hope we don't get it. Al, the radar shows you're getting hammered with it. |

Good luck. We in England never get it that bad and so these things look real scarey to us.

Thanks Tommy. It started snowing a few minutes ago. Locally the prediction is for 7 to 17 inches by noon Tuesday. If I can't go to work I'll make a snowman.

We had two inches of rain down here around the northern mid Atlantic Delmarva peninsula; but it's been dry as a bone, so we needed it. I shudder to think about snow at this time of year.

My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums. |

Hang in there. We had a hot weekend and lightening is pounding us right now.

Wow, Bob, 2 inches of rain! I'd rather have snow.
Santa, I love watching lightning, now that I don't work on radio towers any more. It's been snowing for an hour but there's less than an inch on the ground. Temp is 35 F. The lights got real bright then dim a couple of times. Must be some tree limbs hanging on the wires. Think I'll call it a night. |

Today, up here in the (formerly) frosty north, we are breaking the local highest temperature record for any April 23, dating back to 1910. Looking for a balmy 27C (80.6F) today. Bring it, global climate change!

It's supposed to be in the 80's here today, so I'm guessing it might snow tomorrow, and then warm back up. And then rain.
Spend a late winter/early spring week in Spokane and you can handle any weather.

Bob,
I'll never be your age. You'll always be older than me. |

They reduced the accumulation prediction by 50% but we're beyond that. There's 9 inches of snow on the ground at my house but where I was teaching today (8.7 miles away) there's nothing at all.
What concerns me now is the weight of the snow on the limbs and lines. I saw a few entire trees down this morning. And the phone lines to my house are stretched almost to the ground. It looks they could break any mi |

Be quiet I think I hear a sound coming from over that way.
