Well at least they gave him a trial, which is more than can be said for the US government who excuted that American-born Muslim cleric with a drone.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

If Allah wanted the drone to miss it would have, it was his will to kill him.
My concern is that California high schools will now require students to hang a Christian in order to celebrate diversity. |

What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?
My neighbor rang my doorbell at 2:30 a.m. this morning, can you believe that, 2:30 a.m.!? Lucky for him I was still up playing my drums. |

In actuality you will find that the majority of religious persecutions in Iran are carried through with either no trial or a completely incompetent trial

Hey man, you Aussies wrestle crocs, Iranians imprison and execute people, we must accept and embrace all diverse cultures. I will admit we do have issues with hurting crocs.

Doesn't make any of it morally right though MagicSanta (I'm not sure you would be saying that if Yousef was your son.....even with a hint of humour in your post)
I think all noble-minded people would agree that humans deserve the right to be treated fairly and with justice. Yes, sometimes injustices are carried out everywhere, in all countries, however they are usually due to human errors. Imprisoning and killing humans purely because they practice a different religion to you can rightly be considered a gross injustice and a violation of human rights, even more so when the injustice is consistently repeated... I actually saw kangaroo paws for sale as back scratchers in Darwin! Crocodile feet too. I know, I bought one of each. The roo paw does a better job though And kangaroo steaks are out of this world. Wish we could get them here in the US.

I found so far as kangaroo steaks go, that a lot depends on preparation (but I guess that is true for most meats). I must say, though, that the horse steak I tried in Toronto a few months back blew the kangaroo steaks away. Oh yeah, I also had some crocodile (in the form of sausage) in Sydney. That was horrible. I think it was mainly due to the (you guessed it) preparation. Wow. This is way off topic. Sorry.

You ate a kangaroo? We'll I shouldn't be suprised considering what you do to seals.
So is this fellow alive or did they kill him? Kam, I think killing a person is terrible killing one for preaching is barbaric. I am not, oddly, against removing evil by force. Thn again extremist already run Iran...if they go secular we, the US, will go get em and open the door for extremist to take over, like Egypt and soon to be Syria. Note, I wanted to get the Taliban just for blowing up Bhudda statues. |

And then there's the Chinese, who killed the crap out of some Tibetan Buddhists. It's things like that which make me a trifle worried about them being such a major power these days...

That ticks me off too. I'm down with Buddhist. Can anyone give a single reason for China being in Tibet other than to control Budhism in China?

Nations uniting against evil practices will be a thing for the future and, although it has been practiced in recent times (a la "allied forces) the decisions behind the uniting of nations to remove evil may be based on imperfect judiciality these days, but that will improve with time. Its the way things will naturally evolve in terms of a global judicial system, a world court etc etc I'm all with ya mate Kam
