This is an unsolicited review and my only experience with the company is that of a customer:
I just wanted to take a moment and share what an incredible experience I had with Thom and Vinny. These guys are incredible! I ordered the illusion and Thom said it would be about 3 weeks which is very reasonable. He called me 5 days later to let me know that the prop was ready and that it was heading to the case company. He even offered to powder coat my aluminum at no extra cost!!! The illusion was built & cased within 2 weeks of my first conversation with Thom! I just received it and set it up and it far exceeded my expectations. The thought that went into the design as well as the commitment to portability and durability is awesome. I highly recommend Thom Rubino Illusions. Thanks Guys! Taylor |

I've had Thom build several pieces for me - he's always awesome to work with and has real world experience working with props to forsee issues or suggest easier methods, etc where as other builders have lost that touch and just want to crank out the prop and charge you up the ass - I highly recommend Thom as well!

I bought my first set of illusions from Thom. He built me a Crystal Casket (which is by far the best looking furniture I have ever seen in my entire life), a Subtrunk and a Modern Sword Basket.
All his props are built to the finest details and they are so sturdy yet packs flat. These three illusions can fit into the back of my Kia SUV. He and I then worked on our next project and we have created a whole new concept Bump and Shadow Box. I have nothing but good words about this man. If you want really good magic built by a person who really loves his art (and not the money that comes with it), then this is the man you were looking for your whole life. |

Wagster,
You can email Thom Rubino at thomrubino@hotmail.com He does not have a website because he is so good and fortunate that jobs and people look for him and he does not advertise his work elsewhere. You will be very glad with his work! |

I realize this thread is a bit old but I am interested in a modern sword basket. From what I have read, Thom Rubino is the guy to contact. I tried the email listed above four days ago and have yet to receive a reply. Does anyone know how to contact Thom?
