Okay bragging time...sorry I just can't help it. I'm just bursting with pride at my new baby boy who weighs 16 pounds and is cute as a button. I named him Merlin!
Merlin will someday grow up and if his temperment and personality are suited he will one day appear on stage with me. Here's pics of what Merlin will grow up to look like. http://www.oes.org/html/oes_photos.html >>as for me I'm doing fine but blurry eyed from lack of sleep. Merlin is the latest addition to the household consisting of Shaggy,Blue, Paris, Asia, Daisy, BabyGirl. No jealousies to report as of yet. |

He's a lucky boy to have you as a Mum. At least we can all rest assured that he will be well looked after and brought up well.
All the Best To Merlin..Welcome to our World. Howard |

Hey Chrystal, congradulations on your new birst. I have never heard of a baby weighing 16 pounds at birth though, so you must be able to tolerate pain well. Cheers , Ed, (Eddini).

Congratulations, Crystal! I think Merlin is a super cute name! And I hope that if one day I have a baby he doesn't come out weighing 16 pounds! I'm small (5'4) and I think a baby that big might kill me!

Boy I can be pretty dense I guess. Its funny too, because I love animals too, and I call them babies or kids too sometimes. I even looked at the link hoping to see a kid's (real kid) picture, and I still didn't get it. Still congradulations Crystal, you pulled a good one over me. Ed, (Eddini).

Rumour has it the father is a real dawg...I am willing to believe that, but the stories about the mother being a real b*tch....hmmmmmm.
I refuse to believe them. At least I know Merlin can't be a little b*stard.....being a purebred. Congratulations on your new baby, Chrys & and congratulations on your new Mom, Merlin! Kaj |

Okay so Merlin is an 8 wk old puppy...and forgive me if I've made some of you jump to conclusions. But I really appreciated all the congrats!! Thanks!
I foster for the Humane Society and adopt usually older, funny looking or sickly animals and they have a forever home with me. Still I dreamed that one day I would love to adopt a puppy! Although Merlin wasn't a pound puppy ..I have anxiously been awaiting to pick him up to bring him home for weeks! The site I put up on the first post is pretty funny..and if you scroll down you'll see the pic Vinnie was talking about. They are truly comical dogs! Perfect for comedy magic! Besides you know what they say about dogs and their owners? Ha Ha! I dunno Firedice if his eyes are like mine...but thinking the hairstyle definately resembles me when I wake up in the morning! |

You rescued a RAT? Ellen, have you ever heard of The Bubonic Plague? It was rather popular in Europe a few hundred years ago, especially among people who hung around rats. Wink.

Hey--It was the FLEAS (on the rats) that were the disgusting vermins!
ANyway--they are wonderful pets and a girl couldn't take care of her anymore--this rat was not a street rat. I used to own 3 others! Ellen |

Thanks again everyone for the congrats... Well least I didn't buy a baby elephant, I heard they weigh 175 to 250 pounds at birth!!
Ellen I think Sophie is a great name! Although I've never had a rat as a pet, I've heard they are extremely intelligent and make great pets. So have fun! This post made me wonder what was the birth weight of the world's largest human baby? |

From the book "You Can't Sneeze with Your Eyes Open", by Barbara Seuling, 1986, Ballantine Booksw NY...
A baby was born to parents in Turkey that weighed 24 pounds, 4 ounces at birth. I'll bet she wishes she had a dog! |
