I've seen Michael on Reel Magic episodes and he has incredible routining ideas!
http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/2687 FEATURING: Four Killer Effects Including… Drop’N An extreamly visual penetration of a coin through a glass table. Rule of Five A clever quickie. Designed to be fast and effective. Packs small, plays big! Card Under Glass Michael’s nod to a classic effect with a fun, new and exciting angle of the most crucial part of the trick! Two-Card Monte Payoff A surprising conclusion to an age-old classic. This one will have them baffled. |

I like the Drop'N very much... Wonder what it looks like in reality though.

Drop'N looks just as amazing live as it does on video and it is also a lot of fun to practice. Michael KILLS with this in live performance.
The Rule of Five gimmick is very clever and great for walk around situations. Each of these gimmicks are hand made to stand up to real world scrutiny. Card under glass is another one that you will have a lot of fun not only performing, but also practicing. Every time I see Michael show this to magicians, they flip out. Two card monte Payoff is another really clever gimmick that you will be able to put into use right away. The routine is simple, clean, and the ending packs a punch. For those of you who don't know Michael Eaton, he is one of the official magicians of the Orlando Magic. Along with these 4 routines, Michael gives you real world advice on performance, connecting with your audience, and the business of magic that he uses every day. |

I hate being at work and not able to watch any demo videos.
But this effect sounds great! Hopefully different from Kevin Parkers coin thru table. |

I'm definitely interested in this! The coin through glass and card under glass look incredible. I hope to see some reviews on this soon!

The coin through table in particular looks amazing. Obviously, you've got to have a glass table to perform it, but unless there are serious angle restrictions, that's some real magic.

I've only met Michael once briefly, but he struck me as a very nice (and talented!) guy. I think the DVD looks great!

Only knowing Michael from his Reel Magic spots, I can tell how much he thinks about his magic. I'll add this to my ever growing wish list.
Too much magic that is usable is being released these days. Some clunkers also, but when someone that does this for a living tips the good stuff from their act, I'm interested. |

Hahaha...I' sorry....I couldn't resist : ) First off let me say how excited I am to finally be releasing something that I have been "babying" for such a long time. I am very happy to see the magic community welcome my magic with open arms. Seeing that this is my first DVD released I'm sure I will see every opinion out there but I'm here ready to address any issues that might concern my fellow magicians. I am EXTREMELY proud that Jeff Kaylor and the Magic Estate did this job such wonderful justice. Working with them was such a privilege and they were nothing but professional and direct. Bande, to answer your question, YES, Jeff and I felt that a little added value would be a great idea and so we provide you with the Rule of Five gimmick as well teach you a way to make your own. Same with the Two-Card Monte Payoff. I provide you with one half of the gimmick but you will need to make your own other half (it'll make more sense once you see the DVD). The gimmick itself isn't original but the incorporation into the Two-card Monte effect only made sense. It now has an ending lol. I woke up this morning and received probably 30-40 emails and messages on Facebook in regards to the Drop'N Coin thru table itself and NO you do not need any gimmicks to achieve the effect. It's all sleight based. Also, you don't need a glass table. In fact, I originally started doing my Ricochet Vanish as an ending to my Coins through Table where the last coin would visibly vanish and fall into the spectator's hand beneath the table. So they would actually see AND feel the coin go through. No, it's not like the John Cornelius version but yes, John was the inspiration for the moment where THEY felt the coin fall through. Feel free to post away and ask questions. My schedule is busy but I will always make time to address any concerns or comments you might have. Thank you again and all the best : ) |

However, it also was featured in Gaston Quieto's Twenty video tape (1998) as a production. In fact, if you watch 00:54 of this clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6Z32eyp6do&feature=relmfu you will see the move used to produce the King. The original move was written up in Genii in 1969 and called "Cato's Card Happening Move". I just like to give credit where it's due. I hope you enjoy the DVD if you choose to get it. All the best! |

I think the secret to it's success is that if you watch the trailer, it's one of those things that happens in a second. There is no build up for it you just DO IT! I like that "ambushing" style of magic where you have your spectator's attention and just BLAST them with something totally unexpected and visual. It doesn't give them enough time to prepare and their mind feels a bit warped and deprived of logic at that moment. |

I mean...the video shows you EXACTLY what the spectator sees.....I really don't know what else to say. LOL...We had a clip while filming of Jeff seeing it for the first time and saying, "Oh SH*T!!!" but we had to edit that obviously! I mean, honestly, I understand that people hype things on trailers and edit cuts. It's a pretty straight forward penetration as you can see. Tap tap, BOOM! |

Hey Stucky, Garcia publishes something that's not his? I'm Shocked! </sarcasm> Good to know these things. That video was so badly edited. Let's cross-fade when the magic happens. That makes sense.

Mike showed me Drop'n a couple months back. It looks just as good (if not better) in real life than it does on video and is virtually angle proof. It'll take some practice, but it's definitely worth the effort.
