Sent it to you, Ted. Check your eMail for photos, too. Come back and let us know how you like "Stitched". I still love it. Performed it this last weekend in my grey suit at a 50th wedding anniversary party. The Golden couple loved it- kept asking me to show it to others. The only problem with repeating this at the same function is- how can you keep getting and then repairing holes in your pants? So I could not do it again. Oh well!

Not impracticle at all. Just make the gimmick for dress slacks. Voila! No jeans required.

I just wanted to say a public thank you to Bats. This place advertises its about magiocians helping magicians -- well Bats embodies that. I sent a PM to get his version of Stitched -- bang in my mailbox are his instructions with a note offering pics if I want them. Sure, I say. Bang in my mailbox within minutes. Really cool. Making a point to pass this on -- not sure who/how to help someone yet, but I am going to find my moment.

I got stitched up at the Merchant of Magic yesterday. I mean I got 'Stitched' up at the Merchant of Magic yesterday. Haven't made the gimmick yet, but can't wait! Thank you Alex for a great effect and Bats for sharing your ideas with us.

All I can say is "You're very welcome" to all of you who requested my help with this effect. I'm more than happy to help with this EXCELLENT effect!
Bande, I was using the Café for several years before something (I can't remember what) made me officially join and start posting comments. I actually NEVER wanted to get involved all that much. For several years all I did was receive the help. Now I have been able to give it. But really, sometimes the help can be as simple as just an honest review of a product that you love or dislike. It can help sway a magician to buy something that she would not have bought otherwise, and then they have an effect that they love and use frequently. Or you might save them some money that would have been wasted. You might never know that you helped, but you did! I often buy things based on reviews from people that I trust here on the Café. It's usually a good decision, so I'm happy. They will never know that they helped me, but they did! I'm getting better tricks to perform with less monetary waste. I'm satisfied. And one more thing, Bande- your comments about my help make me feel proud to be a member here. Just that alone should make YOU feel proud to be a member also. That is what the Café SHOULD be about. I've seen way too much fighting and name calling and other insulting behavior here. It's truly disgusting at times. Lets HELP each other here! So anyway, guys and gals, BUY "STITCHED"! It's a good one! And then PM me with the top headline on side 2 of the yellow insert sheet, and I'll give you some tips on how to improve your gimmick. You won't be sorry! It's money pretty well spent if you ask me! |

I just ordered this from penguinmagic Looking forward to it! I think this will be an awesome casual trick. Get some ones attention and do it right in front of their eyes. "Ohh man, look at my jeans" <- to a friend, then when someone else looks, do the trick haha. Should be fun!

Well, for me, reactions do vary. When I do it for my friends and co-workers, it's more of a "how did you do that?" reaction. They've seen my stuff before, and they KNOW that something is up. When I do it for a stranger at the supermarket (which I did last night), it's more of a shock. The lady last night SWORE that she saw my hole, and then it was gone. Of course she saw it- I made sure of that. Then it was gone. Even I did not know how that happened- or so I said. It was as much a mystery to me as it was to her!

I really want this. When I get it I will also be emailing Bats for help. Great reviews here on the Café. I did go to Penguin and the reviews are not that great over there?? Why would this be?

It is not that we didn't take time to make the gimmick properly. Like I said before. My first gimmicks looks exactly like the ones from BatsMagic, but we found a way to give you an universal gimmick that you can fine tune for any style of pants. I use the type that comes within the package and it works a 100%. But to include so many different types of gimmicks was not possible at all. So I was thinking about this effect more than enough and if you are happy happy with Bats help I am also more than happy.
You have always bad reviews on each and every effect. I think the people/kids who give bad reviews still believe in real magic and don't get it that it does not exist. Wish you all the best Alex
