When I first saw David Blaine perform Healed and Sealed trick on his Vertigo special, I was completely baffled!
Now I look at it and laugh. |

David Copperfield´s "Voyeaur", from his last TV special Tornado of Fire.
This effect is pure art and pure magic. All the best magic, Pablo Tejero

A levitation that was inside a box and then floated out. I love levitations.

The first time I saw Jeff McBride doing split fans on the Worlds Greatest Magic special. Even now that I can do them myself, I am still amazed at how easy and effortless he makes it look.

When I saw Harry Anderson perform the barstool illusion on a TV special I was impressed because I never saw Harry do traditional magic tricks. It was great. I like all of his magic though.

When I was a little kid I saw Copperfield on one his specials do CMH. Even though I didn't know what close up magic was at the time I wondered why he didn't do more close up things like that.

The first time a saw a coin vanish with the raven. It blew me away. Needless to say I am not so dumbfounded by the illusion now.

The first time I saw David Copperfield do his flying illusion when I was a kid absolutely amazed me (and, to be honest, still does).
Also by Copperfield, his sawing in half illusion (the one which was first place in the 50 Greatest Magic Tricks programme on Channel 4 in the UK). That's just ingenius. |

The very first time I saw Zig Zag presented on television. It was simply mind boggling. Now it is thought of as an old standard, but in its day, wow.

As far as emotional reactions go, Tom Mullica's massive smoking trick is certainly right up there for me. Sends shivers down my spine now just thinking about it, actually.

As a little kid I was really amazed by Copperfield's (or should I say Kevin James...) Floating Rose, just great.
But now, well... OK... Manuel

When I was four or five years old I saw my grandfather to the "thumb trick", I was sooo stunned! It's basically the only thing I remember from my early childhood.
...As long as i`m not a world-champion at anything, the great reactions of doin` magic will do just fine.....

David Copperfield on a early special did a version of Martin Lewis' "Torn Cigarette Paper".

For me it would probably be Paul Gertner's Steel and Silver on World's Greatest Magic II. I saw this when I was about seven years old, and it seemed incredible to me.

When Michael Close was invited to a Swedish magic show ("Magiskt") and did his "The card, the saltshaker and the forehead" (or something). I borrowed this tape because it was seven years old.
