Last night I performed in a small room in the lounge I perform at.
I decided to try out some new material I had never done before in front of an audience. the routines I used nothing but a pack of of post its a sharpie and the sanctum card and dead ringers. the show started with a few bits of mentalism, slowly worked into light hypnosis, and then that's when it truely got weird. one of the girls I was using in the hypno convincers was used for dead ringers plot being killer from the past. she had her eyes closed while another spec went through the selection process for the killer. after the process was completed I had the girl discribe the photo selected still with back turned eyes closed. she got REAL close to dead on, when I asked her the killers name she said lizzie. ok that was cool, I pulled out the pic to show the crowd that the photo was right and they got a little creeped in a good fun way. the girl was doing so good that I decided to keep using her, so I moved to some routines off the sanctum card front. again the was right on the mark. I figured what the heck, and moved to the back. when I walked her down a path and told her about the house she saw in the distance she started to describe an old run down house. we went inside and she started to nail the back of the card while I sat their showing it to the specs watching. the reaction was so strong that even I was stunned. everyone that walked out of that show could not deny that something more was at play in that room.....me I don't know it played so well that I don't think I could create that again. |

Nice. You can create it again. Just be in the moment, together with everybody.

It was a bit more free flow and fluid then I'm used to in a paid performance but the crowd was just so open and willing to go with it. when the girl screamed omg that's the room at the end of the routine it just put everyone over the edge.

Nice story. Excellent when things come together so well to put a routine over the top. Also cool when it creeps your own self out.

It would be fun to get her family tree and build a back story with it for next week,

SOME THINGS DEFY EXPLANATION.. I have been doing magic for many years. its only recently that I have been creating magic and mystery not just tricks..my audience seem to take it more to heart not trying to figure out how it was done but just enjoying the ride as we go together on the journey.i guess we are never to old to learn.
