Keith do you use both the Show cues app and Show remote?
From what I can determine, it may be a little more in price, but it is dependable. I need something that will work well with my iPad. Max |

I started using the remote recommended by Show Cues in May of 2012 and still use the same one. I apologize for my math skills, it's just under THREE years. I still use it weekly, in my stage shows with my iPad.

Come to find out I was not setting up in the right sequence. I was not installing the adapter into my ipad and then syncing the remote prior to opening show cues. It is clearly written this way in the manual but I was not following the sequence. Since then I have not had a problem. I recommend anyone having trouble with the remote make sure they install the 30pin portion before turning on the ipad or ipod. Then use the remote to turn up or down. Once the screen shows the volume screen you are set. Open show cues and have a great show. |

I am not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I use Show Cues with a mini I pad, it required a adapter for the remote to convert to a nine pin. I bought a non Apple adapter and it did not work, when I got the genuine Apple adapter it worked fine. I just thought I would mention this as it may be a problem for others!

It probably makes sense to get an Apple adapter to work with my iPad. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I was curious if there is any update on the remote. I am really interested, I am just confused if this is really reliable or not

Blake, Talk with Shawn Popp at conjuringcabinet.com. He sells the remotes and can give you all the options. iJet is still the number one maker of iPhone remotes and they make the Show Cues remote. 99% of the users are happy with it. We continue to talk with other manufacturers about additional remote options. Carl

I must give a shout out to shawn Popp. I contact him and he answered all my questions along with giving me a heads up on new remotes coming out. I know that has been a "myth" for a while but it sounds promising. Thanks Carl Andrews. I went ahead and ordered a remote. Looking forward to it

So, I'm having a recurring problem with my sound that I need some help trouble shooting. I use an ijet remote and showcues. In my last two shows when it came to a particular piece of music the song stopped after a few seconds. I started it again and the same thing happened, so I proceeded with no music. Any guesses as to why a song wouldn't play correctly?

Make sure the track is on the device and not in the iCloud. Also be sure there is no protection issue on the track. Try playing the track with the iPhone music player, if it will play on their player it will play on ours. My guess is a bad track or its not on the device. Only other possibility I can think of is to check and make sure you don't have any individual track settings on for that track that you don't want turned on.

It might be the iCloud issue. What is issue with iCloud? When I'm sitting here in my living room showcues plays the song fine on the device, which is an iPad mini. In my shoes it has a grimlin. The other possibility you mentioned is protection on it. Tell me what you mean by that. It is an mp4.

Here is a photo showing how to check if the song is on the device or in the cloud. If you are home and have wifi it will play but at the gig and no wifi, if in the cloud it will not play.

Looks like the photo did not upload here. Go to our FB page and you will find a photo that explains how to check if the tracks are on your device or in the cloud.

Tony Thomas, you do have your iPad Mini power settings set to always on when you do a performance. If is set to sleep or shut down in a certain amount of time, all running apps will shut off. Check your power settings app. Even if you have a screensaver will cause a program to shut down.
