With the rise in prices of Tenyo items with original packaging or BNIP items on auction sites, I was curious to hear which packaging designs were favorites among Café members. I've always like the design on Diabolicus with its bright blue colors and the atomic symbol in the center. I also like Parabox, Geometrick, and Mini-zag.

It sounds like your favorites are what are known as "blister" packs, named after the plastic bubble which contains the item.

Yes blister packs had the best graphics with the items angled to match the background.
Here is a site all about those with very good photos.

Floating Lady and The Haunting have cool packaging, as do many other Tenyo items.

My favourites are Wonder Window and Ribbon Forever - the package mixes nicely with the props.

Oh and perhaps this is the appropriate thread to ask, but what is that tin-foil like stuff in the back of Supercubio?

And this is Bacon, William. Which you might find in a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich.

What?

It's a line from Trading Places. It's a scene where Ralph Bellamy explains to Eddie Murphy what bacon is.

I found it funny that Richard had to explain to someone what a blister pack was. That's all.

I don't know what that means either but I am ordering bacon on my cheeseburger in about an hour. Smile

I really dig the way Crossroad looks, it's probably my favorite packaging, it's super 80's looking. I even think the Japanese version looks cool too.

Great packaging, but not so great trick. We'll have a real surprise for Crossroads fans in the Tenyo book.
