Hey all,
I'm not one for memorised/stacked decks so I'm new to this area and really know very little about this kind of magic. However I did watch an interesting trailer the other day for Tom Crosbie's Recall and must say I'm impressed. It looks like something that's fairly versatile and some of the stuff gets killer reactions (I've seen some of this for myself!). So here's the link - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WitGE9YD6w0 What do you guys think? How does it compare to other stacked decks for a newbie? Thanks Ryan |

Can anyone describe the Shadow Deck? I'm working on Mnemonica.

Hi, Ryan
I ordered Recall on a pre-Order a few weeks ago. Do you have any updated info on its estimated release date.

Oh - and regarding release date - it was due to go to the replicators on Saturday last time I checked - but its 100% out of my hands now.
Soon is a pretty good estimate though! But remember - I can tell you stuff about it - but my opinion really doesn't count haha

Tom, How is this different from the Tamariz deck / Mnemonica?

Atom -
The Shadow deck was reviewed on the WPR recently. I think you'll find that helpful. |

Turk - I'm still none the wiser I'm afraid. But as soon as I know - I'll let you know.
Atom - the difference between Shadow Stack & Mnemonica - the Shadow Stack has more features that I consider to be usable. Juan, I think - sacrificed the impromptu usability of his stack so you can shuffle into new deck order. I gave up this feature to make sure all the main features are available with no notice. Like I say - I'm not saying my stack is better - it's just better for me.

I'm very curious about the built in story effect. Care to tell us anything about the story? Since the stack is a new one, I assume that the story is, also.
Where can I pre-order this? Dennis Loomis

Murphys Magic Supplies will be supplying this to dealers, but haven't gotten their shipment yet. I'm anxiously waiting to see it.

I guess that I should have realized that it would (eventually?) be handled on this side of the pond. I ordered it via pre-order from the UK and paid an arm and a leg for S&H. I should have waited until it became obvious whether or not it would remain a UK exclusive or whether or not it would also be carried by USA magic dealers. I've got to stop the "pre-order" behavior. I'm beginning to see value in "pre-orders" only if there is going to be an extremely small production run of the item. My bad.

Hey Dennis,
The story, much like Tamariz's story deck in Mnemonica, or much of Eric Richardson's work with the Aronson stack - just a Sam the Bellhop style storytelling deck. Without going into too much detail - it's based in Vegas, although it's very much open to change. It does have a nice finale though.

UPDATE: It's released today - anyone that preordered - or orders it today - your DVD should be going out in the next couple of days!

I just received my DVD set in the mail this morning. Time to clear the decks, rip the cellophane off these DVDs and start watching.

Murphys has received their supply and I ordered one of my own. Loomis Magic will be just one source where you can get them.

I'm very surprised this is not being discussed more than it is. I'm very familiar with the aronson stack as well as mnemonica. I used to use only mnemonica then opted for Steven Youell's wonder hacker stack. Needless to say after checking out "recall" I have switched to the shadow stack. There is just too much to like about it. All of the built in routines are face smashers. Took me a little over 3 days to get the stack down. Check out some of the online routines. They just don't seem possible but they are. The story deck is awesome. Personally I Like it more than Sam the Bellhop. If your in to mem deck stuff or even thinking about it, do yourself a favor and pick this set up. I messaged Tom on Facebook and be responded fairly quickly. He's a very humble guy who will answer any question you may have. Im waiting for his next release.
