Probably a basic, stupid question that I already know the answer to, but I'm a bit baffled, so here goes:
What's the difference between a copper/silver coin and a sun/moon coin? If I'm correct, is a copper/silver what you get with a scotch and soda set where there's a locking [, whereas the sun/moon comes with Hopping Halves and uses a regular expanded [? Thanks in advance for helpful answers and a lack of jeering. |

See bobo's coin magic book for details about them and the difference.

A sun and moon is basically a copper/silver coin with a shell

I am still scratching my head on what this set is. (Same with the Tango ultimate coin .. can't find a description anywhere)
I have in front of me a Schoolcraft: 1) Walking Liberty shell 2) A Copper/Silver coin (Will fit in the shell) 3) A Copper coin (Will not fit in the shell) Is this a Sun/Moon set? If so, can I do Samoya by Rob Thompson with it?
All small town magicians know what 793.8 signifies.

However, the inside c/s coin and the smaller [ that fits it, can sort of serve as a sun/moon if no one sees it close. better to use a C/S with an exp [. but best is a shaved down C/S with a non exp [ that fits all the way down. A TWIAD set is perfect if you can afford it - not only a sun/moon but can be used as a C/S with scrutiny and the matching silver coin fits the copper [ also. Just my 2 centavo's worth. EDIT - just saw the OP date - am sure you know by now

Yes, Sean, the sun and moon gaff is not locking.
